DEAR HARRY,

I can't believe you didn't just give me the proper response to my letter when I was stood beside you when you entered the post office - it would have saved you an awful lot of time, would it not? I'm sure something in me agrees with the sentiment but I can't help but think you might have already written back had you just given it to me that early.

I don't mind though, it was a good idea to get back into the letter writing aspect of our relationship now that we've been seperated again. I think Flora said something about you guys coming back for Christmas, so three month is a little longer than I was expecting however I think the idea is to somewhat get more time in between seeing one another - it was a month this time, and Christmas makes the majority of October, November and then the end of December. 

Besides, a month is hardly time to settle into a routine. That needs actual work. I'm not sure on the protocol on talking about what happened in the Hog's Head, because I'm not actually sure where my letters are being sent still because I just address them to you and then the owl takes it away, but I think it does go to the post office. I'm not sure. I'm hoping it does. 

Either way, I think it's a good idea and I think it will go well. And I'm starting to collect things for Christmas that shouldn't go in a letter. For example, when you come back you can see some of my coursework because I can't really pack up a mannequin to bring it to show you in Hogsmeade. Or maybe I can, there's a shrinking spell, right?

Things around here are quiet. There hasn't been a meeting since I got back but Snuffles keeps talking about fireplaces, so I'm assuming you know what that means. It's tense though, Flora and Angela are away speaking to some of her friends closer to the manor and Mr Weasley is always at work these days. It's almost always just me, Snuffles and Mrs Weasley. Remus comes by more often though, and Tonks walks with me to school in the mornings. 

I got my timetable for my mocks in the middle of November, so if my letters get any shorter its because I'm studying - apparently I have a little bit to catch up on and I've been set up in some kind of study group. So just like what you'll be doing with Hermione and Ron but with maths and sciences. 

Don't worry about writing back if you're busy, I don't really know what it's like over there and your schedule and everything, but don't worry about it, really.

JANE,

It's been over a week since I got your letter - nine days to be precise. There's been a lot of... disruptions that really pushed back things when I could have been writing. I'm writing this beginning bit very quickly outside of the post office in Hogsmeade - it's about midnight and I only just managed to get down here after dinner. 

There's some good news. Ginny's going out with Michael Corner, he was at the meeting too and it's been far too fun to see Ron reacting to it. I've been keeping up with schoolwork pretty well, Quidditch practises were eventually alright too.

Things got... worse after the meeting. I'm sure, by now, you've heard about Umbridge's Educational Degree. I think she somehow found out about the meeting and decided that any student group had to be approved by her - which included the Quidditch teams too. Angelina's managed to get it back on track and obviously we haven't told anyone else otherwise. A lot happened on that day. Hedwig was injured, her wing got bent but Professor Grubbly-Plank, whose there in place of Hagrid said she should be right as rain soon. 

Speaking of, has anyone said anything about Hagrid in the meetings? I have no idea where he is or what he's doing, and I can only hope that he's okay and comes back soon. I know we work through the post office in Hogsmeade either way, but McGonagall confirmed that letters in and out of Hogwarts are being watched.

Snuffles appeared in the fireplace again one evening, apparently one of the guys in the Hog's Head was Mundungus dressed up as the witch. They're following me now, keeping an eye on me apparently. Snuffles has heard all about you and Zacharias too, so if he's commented on that I'm really sorry.

We had the first meeting. It went well, better than I expected. I wasn't so awkward either, which I thought would end up being the case. You were right, by the way, with everything you said about me leading it. Because it did go well, and although Hermione came up with the idea I have you to thank for putting things forward. 

Things are... odd. Write back when you can.

JANE,

I know you haven't written back yet, and I know it was pretty stupid for me to come down to Hogsmeade for the second time. Hermione was insanely against it, something about doing something more often increases risks or something like that.

But listen, I forget to tell you something pretty important and, well, it couldn't wait. I've been getting pains. Nightmares too. I think it's Him, but I'm not sure whats happening. 

I don't know, they keep waking me up but I don't know what I'm seeing or if it's just something else. I keep checking too, I keep checking if I'm in a nightmare or not and I always have five fingers. They're more like visions then anything.

I've had things like this before, but I don't know if this is important. I... I thought you should know. Hermione and Ron know a little about it, but I trust you the most. I don't want anyone else worrying though, and I know you have access to a lot more things than I do without worrying people.

I know it's stupid because I feel like you might worry the most. But don't, please. I'm really fine, and I hate to even ask if you can do me that favour but I just... I didn't know who else I should ask. 

That's all really. I should have included it yesterday but it slipped my mind until the nightmare last night. I'm sorry for putting this pressure on you and if you don't want to you don't have to look it up. I trust you over anyone else.
