Chapter 26

Christmas arrives finally. Your parents demand stays in your mind, and yet it is the day to leave and you have not packed.

You walk into the Great Hall, passing James and Peter on the way. You grab both of their hands and sit them across from Remus, who was previously sitting alone.

"Hello, boys."

James grins, "you done ignoring us?"

"Yes. Now which of you are planning to go home for Christmas."

All three of them were planning on it.

You frown, "no."

"What?" Peter asks, "no?"

"Cancel your plans. Write the letter now, you're staying here for Christmas."

"My mom wouldn't be-"

You cut James off, "too bad. I love your mom, truly James, but she'll live."

He hesitates, but sighs. "Fine."

"Good. And you two?"

Remus frowns, but silently pulls out a piece of paper and a quill.

Peter sighs, "well I guess if they're doing it."

"There you all go. Write your letters now, I'll be back."

Convincing Regulus to stay was harder, but his darling friends Evan and Barty helped your case.

Your final target is your other brother; Sirius.

Sirius wouldn't be hard to convince to stay, obviously; he had no where to go.

The hard part would be convincing him to sit at the Gryffindor table during lunch and actually speak to the others.

"Sirius!"

He freezes, "n/n?"

"You're coming with me."

He frowns, "the first thing you've said to me all year and it's a demand?"

"Shut up."

"Rude."

"Rude." You mock him as you walk

"I do not sound like that!" He follows you, complaining.

"Sure you don't."

"What? I- you're so mean."

"You're dramatic."

You sit down at the Gryffindor table, he sits across from you.

He glares at you, "what's your deal?"

"What do you mean?"

"It's you. You have something in mind because you're talking to me and sitting here."

"Hey." Peter sits down next to you.

Sirius's gaze becomes quickly untrusting.

"Hi, Pete."

And Remus sits down next.

And then James, sitting next to Sirius.
