Thunderclap, and the normally dark room became bright. Sally sat in her usual spot in the center of the bed.
"Hey, Und," Sally whispered.
"Yes." Came Und's deep voice.
"I was just checking you were there."
"Why? I'm always here."
"I know, but I'm scared," whimpered Sally.
"Why?" Und's deep voice asked with a hint of concern.
"The thunderstorm."
"Lightning can be frightening, but you have nothing to worry about."
"Why?" Sally asked.
"Because lightning is afraid of me." Und's deep laugh rumbled the bed.
Sally laughed, "Silly. Lightning can't be afraid of you."
"Why not?"
"It's electricity."
"Ah, yes. Well, the one who throws the lightning is afraid of me."
"Who's that?"
"He used to go by Zeus, but I think he goes by Zach now."
Sally laughed. "Goodnight, Und."
"Goodnight, Sally."
