"Why eighteen?" Sally asked the dark room.
"Why eighteen, what?" Und asked, confused.
"Why do I need to wait until I'm eighteen to meet you? You live under my bed."
Und laughed, "Not really. But you humans have an odd tradition that a human child becomes an adult at eighteen."
"Oh? What age did you become an adult?" Sally asked.
Und hummed, "Uh, I'd say about one hundred and fifty years or so. We don't count age as much as we count maturity."
"How can you tell if you are mature enough?"
"When you can take care of yourself."
Sally thought for a moment, "That makes sense."
Und laughed, "Goodnight, Sally."
"Goodnight, Und."
