The news of the golden trio saving Hogwarts from their evil professor had spread like wildfire.

" Did you hear that Harry stopped profesor Quirell ? "

" Harry is so great "

And blah blah blah

I was mindlessly walking here and there when I reached the statue of a Gargoyle

I pondered for a moment and started guessing the password

" Lemon drops "

" Licorice wands "

" Bertie Botts every flavour beans "

After several attempts of both muggle and wizard sweets , the gargoyle finally moved at

" Cockroach Clusters"

Disgusting

I went to the door and Knocked waiting for my presence to be acknowledged

Hearing a faint ' come in ' I walked inside and saw Minnie and Snape watching me like a hawk

" What are you doing here miss Potter ? " Snape asked

I suppose i should have answered but honestly i was busy gwaking at the office

Dumbledore must have seen my expression because I heard him chuckling

" Whatever brings you here my dear girl ? " He asked kindly

I turned to him still gwaking

" This is your office? "

" You are here , are you not ? "

I blushed at my stupidity and digged my robe pocket and took out the stone

I heard Minnie gasp and Snape looked , well he looked his usual

Dumbledore looked amused with his usual twinkling. I swear this old man knows everything

" I'd appreciate if you didn't look in my head Dumbles " I said feeling him trying to invade my head

How did I know Occlumency ? I might have raided the restricted section and looked up to some really gruesome books with very gorey details.

That and , somehow I've always been able to feel and perform magic without a wand.

Perhaps this was a result of straining myself trying to do magic until I fainted at the Dursleys

" How do you have the stone Miss Potter ? " Dumbledore asked in his usual amused voice

" Well you see , when the mirror wasn't moved. I saw the mirror in one of the classrooms. Being my curious self i went to have a look at it. I won't tell you what I saw, that's private. Then i saw myself holding a stone. Next minute I know the stone was in my pocket. I freaked out because the stone won't go back to the mirror, so i transfigured an eraser i had and tried giving it to the mirror. Surprisingly, it accepted the eraser " I lied , well half - lied

Snape looked like I had just said someone killed his favourite pet. Minnie looked proud. Perhaps because I performed such a perfect transfiguration.

Dumbeldore, well he didn't look satisfied. He gave me a look that said ' I know you are hiding something but I would not ask ' Which I was grateful for

" Why didn't you tell anyone Camelia? " Snape asked

I stared at him before replying. This was the first time he called me by my name

" I had a doubt this was something precious so I searched the library. "

" You mean the restricted section " Minnie cut in

I gave a sly smile and then continued

" I figured this is the Philosopher's stone. I read about it being able to prolong live. "

" How does that justify you not telling anyone? " Snape asked

" You'd know if you let me finish" i said irritated

" Ya so , I thought someone must be after it , because why else would Flamel give it away. I apologise but i did not trust any of the teachers and kept the stone with me. I observed everyone and saw Quirell being the most suspicious "

" He'd mostly stutter but then would speak fluently only when he was around Harry or myself. His eyes too would have a red tint "

" And , he had a rotten smell around him. It was like he was using garlic in his classroom because he smelt such way. "

By the time I finished explaining, the three adults were left speechless and looked somewhat ashamed ?

Well they should be , their security was so lacking that three 11 year olds passed it.

" I must say that is some excellent observation skills Camelia " Dumbledore said looking directly at me

" Although I believe that isn't all ? "

Of course that isn't all , but I can't tell you that. Not yet atleast

" Yes. But , I will tell you that when the time is right" I said

Ah , how good it feels to know things even Dumbeldore doesn't

I acknowledged them once more before I left and walked to the great hall

I mostly tuned out for the evening only coming back to my senses when it was time to leave.

I must say , this was an interesting year.

I made friends, and one of the them who was the closest

" Do write to us, you prat " Flint said ruffling my hair

" I just styled it " I pouted smacking his hand making everyone in the common room laugh

" Honestly tho , do write to us. You're annoyingness has grown on us " Adrian winked

Shit , don't faint

" That's not even a word " Pansy huffed

" Every word had to have been said first by someone" I said giving Adrian a high-five

One year with these people and I've already seen them for who they really are

Kids , that's all they are. Kids who were taught wrong since they could understand their surroundings

After everyone left the common room, me and Draco went inside Theo's room.

I sat next to Theo who was been suspiciously quite.

He usually is quite , but not around me or Draco. It's like he's the most immature person around us and that's something considering Draco is the most immature person I've ever met

I looked up to Draco and found him already staring at us

" You alright Theo ? " I softly asked holding his hand in mine

" Idontwanttogo" he muttered

" I'm sorry ? "

" I don't want to go Cerry " he said looking directly in my eyes

What I saw broke my heart. He was scared and was desperate

He was scared of going back home. no , he was scared of going back to that place

And , he was desperate for someone to help him

Draco noticed it too and frowned

" Wanna come with me ? i get quite lonely during holidays" he asked

Theo turned to him and gave the brightest smile he had the entire year

" Yes " he said hugging both Draco and I
