Chapter Twenty Three

Kozik walked out to the bar, freshly showered and changed into fresh clothes, seeing Storm still sat at the bar but with a bottle of water in front of her as she talked to the Prospect who was already cleaning up. "You should go grab some sleep and a shower. Take my room." Kozik said as he slid onto the stool beside her. "Thanks Koz." Storm answered standing up and picking up her bags, Cash and Nell standing and following her as she made her way through to the dorms. "Coffee?" The prospect asked Kozik. "Yeah thanks Prospect." Kozik answered.

Storm walked into the dorm room that was occupied by Kozik and quickly shut the door behind her as the dogs laid down on the floor. She put the bags down on top of the draws and pulled out a black lace lingerie set, a pair of black skinny jeans and a loose grey tank top, along with her toiletry bag and walked into the bathroom. Storm turned on the shower, and stripped down as the water heated up, she quickly got in feeling the water wake her up as it hit her skin.

Storm walked out of the bathroom, all dressed and ready for the day ahead. She sat down in the chair opposite the bed, not wanting to go to sleep, and pulled out the envelope that her supervisor gave her last night. She pulled open the envelope scanning over the papers before putting them back in the envelope and in her bag. She stands up, and walks out back to the main area, leaving everything in Koz's room. She slid back on to the bar stool beside him. "I thought you were going to try and get some sleep." Kozik said. "Prospect, can you go get me a coffee please?" Storm asked, he quickly nodded and walked to the kitchen. "I just don't feel comfortable enough to sleep here at the moment." Storm told him quietly before the prospect arrived back putting her coffee in front of her.

Storm walked out of the kitchen to see Gemma standing in front of her, her arms folded over her chest and the all too common pissed off look on her face. Storm side stepped Gemma not wanting to deal her attitude but Gemma put her hand out, stopping storm. "You should be thankful." Gemma told Storm which made her irate. "What should I be thankful for Gemma? Is it the endless lockdowns or the never ending but only escalating violence, or the fact that if I don't fall into line, you'll make me life hell." Storm asked raising her voice as the room became silent, watching the scene unfold in front of them.

"You've only been trouble since you got back." Gemma said viciously as the club surrounded them. "I did four goddamn years for this goddamn club, and I carry the scars because of this club so don't give me that shit Gemma. I didn't bring these problems here but I'm more than happy to go right now. I only came here so that Tig didn't lose his shit again and attack Kozik because he let me stay at the hospital and hold a baby who had been abandoned and couldn't be saved until he died..." Storm told Gemma.

"Enough!" Clay yelled. Storm shook her head and walked away, heading for the dorms. She quickly picked up her bags, pulling out her keys and calling the dogs, and walking back through the clubhouse with everyone's eyes on her as she walked out of the clubhouse. She walked to her truck, opening the door for the dogs to get in and throwing her bags in before shutting the door and getting in herself, leaving the lot.

Storm ends up at Unser's trailer, she gets out her truck letting the dogs run around as she sits down in the chair by the fire. She pulled out the envelope with her transfer papers inside and begins reading over them properly. As she reads them, she knows that after today she needs to move her plans up, buy a new car and get out sooner than she planned as staying in Charming is only going to get her hurt or worse. Her phone rings snapping her out of her thoughts, she quickly digs through her bag pulling out her phone, seeing Bobby's name and name flash up on the screen, she leaves it to ring and then turns it off. Storm threw her phone back in her handbag and went back to reading her papers.

Storm lit the fire as the darkness descended over Unser's compound; she pulled her phone out of her bag and turned it on, seeing a number of missed calls from Kozik and one from Juice. She dialled Kozik's number and he quickly answered, she told him she was fine and safe before he asked whether she wanted him to come and get her or meet her at the house but she just says she'll check in with him in the morning before hanging up just as Unser pulls in.

"What are you doing here?" Unser asked as he got out of his truck and joined her by the fire. "I'm getting out Wayne or I'm going to end up dead. But when I do leave I won't be able to tell you where I go, its safer that way." Storm told him firmly, intent clear. "What's going on Storm?" Unser asked concerned at the way she was speaking. "I'm taking your advice." Storm said as she stood up and picked up her bag, she stepped forward. "Take care Wayne." Storm said as she walked away, getting into her truck with Cash and Nell. Unser watched as she drove away, worried that she believed she was going to end up dead if she didn't get out; and that worried him greatly.

Storm woke to someone pounding on her door, she quickly pulled back the blankets and got out of bed, going to the door and opening it, seeing Kozik. He quickly walked in, shutting the door behind him and walking into the kitchen with Storm following behind him. "Kozik." Storm said as he leaned against the counter. She quickly fed the dogs as she realised she still only had on a pair of lacy boy leg panties and a small singlet top that had ridden up slightly. Storm quickly walked into the laundry, and picked up an oversized sweatshirt and sliding it on before walking back out.

"Are you ok?" Kozik finally asked. "Yeah, it needed to be said." Storm answered. "I was worried when you didn't answer your phone." Kozik said slowly. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry you. Is everything ok with you?" Storm asked walked up to him. "I have to head back to Tacoma now as everything is handled." Kozik said as Storm nodded slowly. "Ride safe." Storm said, not knowing what else to say. Kozik pushed off the counter and made his way out, leaving Storm stumped.
