The Anchor is a volatile place. Lightning storms pass over the surface of the rectangle. In fact, it was one of these storms that downed the first ship to discover The Anchor. Once the crew managed to return, people began to flock to the new frontier. Explorers charted the unknown paths underneath all the dirt and stone. A few botanists began to grow plants on the surface, establishing a measly atmosphere. More and more people came, along with their possessions. Bandits began to rob and tax any ships that came and left The Anchor. The Federation For Free Passage was established, but swiftly cut down and destroyed by The Bandits. From the ruins of The Federation, Warlords began to rise up, conquering swaths of territory and controlling everyone who lived there. It can get expensive, but it's better than living in the path of a lightning storm. Slowly, the forests began to grow further out. Somehow, they began to mutate, the green leaves changing to pink and red. It's beautiful. Anyone who walks through The First Forest agrees. Eventually, explorers reached deeper and deeper into The Anchor. Inside, they found something. Good, bad, we'll see.
