~ Chapter 2 ~ You Got The Wrong Couple

~ Colettes Perspective ~

As I arrived in Meropide, I was greeted by many smiling faces and happy expressions. when I got to Wriothesley's apartment I knocked on the door while shouting his name.

" Wriothesley?"

" I'm coming!" He exclaimed

" Wriothesley, I told you at 8:30 AM, we have to leave."

" Yes Colette, I'm here now see"

He opened the door in front of me, looking at me with an annoyed look.

" Come now lets go."

" Why so serious today Colette?"

" I do not wish to be late for the access ceremony." I said in a serious tone

Wriothesley and I got many pleasant and encouraging looks from the people of Meropide, the people of Meropide for some reason have a suspicion that we are together. but in reality we're not we're just really good friends. As we continued to the entrance of Meropide we were stopped by a group of ladies.

" Lady Colette! Lady Colette!" They all yelled

" Woah Woah Ladies!" Wriothesley exclaimed

" Sorry, Your Grace we just really would love a chance to talk to Colette." They Pleaded

" Alright, but please do try make it quick we have somewhere we are rushing to."

" Certainly, Your Grace" They said sounding cheerful

I then saw a group of 7 ladies approaching me, and it seemed like they were eager to know something from me. Next thing i knew i was flooded by these women.

" Lady Colette are you and Duke Wriothesley like into eachother." One spoke

" Lady Colette with my recent judging and the way you and the Duke interact with each other is very glamorous." Another two spoke

" Ladies I know we have our assumptions and opinions but me and the Duke are not together, nor are we infatuated with each other we have just simply become close friends, Best friends if u must say." I spoke direct

" Friends with benefits.." One mumbled quietly

I couldn't help but let out a tiny chuckle at that statement.

" I appreciate your involvement with our relationship, but as i said we are just friends, sorry now if u don't mind i do have somewhere to be."

" Of course Lady Colette, let us not keep you any longer." Four of them spoke

I then walked over to where Wriothesley was waiting for me to finish talking with these women, he had a rather confused look on his face.

" What's with the face Wriothesley?" I teased

" Just me but I couldn't help but over hear do those ladies think that we are together?" He asked sounding rather puzzled

I let out a small laugh after that statement.

" Well that's their point of view on our relationship, but I don't think about it like that, after all your really just my Best Friend lets say."

" I agree with that statement Colette, but I think we should really get moving now."

" Right lets get to the Palais Mermonia."

We made our way out of Meropide and onto the surface the sun was out and the temperature, was also fairly normal, I could catch Wriothesley taking a few deep breathes acknowledging the fresh air since he isn't out on surface much.

5 minutes later and after a quick walk we made it to Palais Mermonia. Making our way to the entrance we were greeted by a Melusine who took our details down and allowed us to enter the Building.
