~ Chapter 17 ~ He's Just Figuring Himself Out

~ Wriothesley's Perspective ~

I was in my office doing some paper work, until I heard a knock on my door.

" You may come in." I answered

I then heard the door open and heard someone walking up the stairs, it was unexpected but I saw Colette? She didn't tell me she was coming to see me today.

" Afternoon Colette." I spoke

" Afternoon, Wriothesley." She replied

" What, brings you all the way to the Fortress?" I asked

" I wanted to ask you something."

" Alright, ask away." I replied

" Before I ask, may we please sit so we are facing each other, it would be better for this conversation to be have that way." She requested

" Unusual, but alright that should be fine."

I then got up from my desk and Colette and I walked towards two sofas both facing each other with a coffee table in between them. We then sat down and she began to speak

" Wriothesley." She started

" Yes?"

" Are you okay?" She asked

I was a bit taken aback by this question as I have been okay ever since that day I was shouting at Neuvillette, ugh. that memory is still so disturbing till this day.

" I am okay, But why do you ask Colette?" I asked

" it's great to hear your fine. I ask this question because I haven't heard anything much, from you ever since, you know That.. day.."

" What do you mean by you haven't heard anything?" I asked

" Like, I don't know what happened afterwards. Are you and Neuvillette fine now?" She asked

" Yeah, we're perfectly fine now, I saw him yesterday night."

" Oh so you did end up seeing him. If you don't mind me asking is he alright?"

" He's perfectly, fine as well Colette." I reassured her

" Thats good, But Wriothesley if you dont mind me asking. What happened when you went to go see him?" She asked

" Well, When I first walked in it wasn't really the prettiest thing to see, He was on Furina's desk in tears still.. I'd swear the hurt in his eyes could kill me, he then said that I hurt him really really bad, which I did apologize for.. Numerous times! But it seemed like words weren't doing it, so I then took it upon myself to use actions.."

" Wriothesley, what did you do." She asked with a bit of sternness in her voice

" I- I- well.. Kissed him... Three times.." I said a bit embarrassed

" Well.- Oh my- Three times is a bit much, considering you just found out your admiration for one another." She spoke

" Look, I know but.. Those kisses I gave helped him and I saw it! Colette he really wasn't okay."

" Define really wasn't okay?" She asked

" Well, he explained to me he had this type of lingering pain, and not physical pain, but more of a mental pain.. and he begged me to take it away. It was as if that pain was consuming him." I replied

" Wow- I didn't realize it would have been that bad.. I thought because of his position as Ludex, he would be able to control and get rid of those bad emotions easily."

" It would be Impossible to, Ludex or not, him having to stay strong after those words I said about him would be absolutely difficult.. Colette I told him to go and perish in the Primordial sea whilst dissolving in the most painful way, Nobody can heal from that easily."
