10 hours later.

The once shining sunrise of the town has taken a darker turn, as enough clouds formed together to shroud everything, and with it, producing the mournful drizzle of the rain that damps everything in its path.  From the torn-down entrances of shops that were full of vibrant colors to deserted outdoor cafes with a lot of barricades to the tattered flags of various nations lying on the streets, as well as running civilians to their hiding spots regardless of how much they bleed or how armed they are, all are symbols of what the Zlocan wrought to this place, as well as the stark reminders of what's to come to any defiance.

In an alleyway between two residential buildings, one peculiar figure walks in the center while wearing a dark blue raincoat, with a Beretta gun in the left hand. Each step makes splashes with the force of the boot, only further amplified by the constant downpour at this time, while the eyes glance at each corner with the direction of the gun in case there is any hostile activity nearby.

Julian certainly hopes for a better time to come prepared for this, and yet Boris did force his hand for something that can be so wicked.

As Julian pauses right in front of a metal fence in front of him with two holes in both sides of the building, his pocket vibrates, to which Julian sighs and picks it up. Pressing a button, it says the name of Boris as the caller, with the only option being to answer the call with a slide. With that in mind, he does so while frowning for a bit, then also presses the button for the speakers, likely due to being on his own so far.

"Greetings, young Julian. This is your old mentor, Boris," Boris says in an unknown place, one where there's a lack of noise from the downpour compared to Julian.

"What are you doing here...? What do you want from me?!" Julian says while holding the phone.

"I want to give you one little test, care to join us?"

"What kind of little test?!" From there, a bit of laughter is heard on Boris' end before he takes some deep breaths.

"Jason certainly was too lenient with you, he lacked the courage to show what it takes to work in this world."

"And how do you expect me to find if you talk in riddles?"

"Go to your right." With that, the call hangs up, showing the background screen of the phone away from the call, to which Julian groans a bit over his behavior. Everything is so cryptic and yet not too helpful in getting the indications of what to do next when it comes to fulfilling a part of what Boris wants from him.

Then, with one glance to the right, he spots a certain skeletal frame of a tall building, one that could have overcast the skies from above, yet it lays there, abandoned and unfinished in most aspects.

The windows are shattered and scattered on the floor, piles of debris lay around in various parts of the building, half-finished walls accompanied with exposed red support beams, as well as faint traces of graffiti that adorn most of the surfaces, all proof of what time has done to the aspirations being washed away to the footnotes of history, one that only a few may get to know would have been like.

I have a bad feeling about this... Julian sighs at the implications of the place given Boris' messages, but when it comes to the safety of either himself or his new friends, his partner Rian and his closest one that is Rita, theirs have to come first no matter what, for as long they can manage to accomplish what's needed one day.

With one turn, Julian walks toward the abandoned building while still keeping his gun and phone in their respective hands, as well as still glancing at each side in case someone would dare to strike Julian at the moment he least expects it.
