I said a thank you to the woman and left, pushing my wife with me to the car. As I was helping her in, she yelped with pain. I froze and looked at her worried.

"I'm fine, Stef. It's just still a little sore..."

"Ok, Love..." I replied buckling her seatbelt. I placed my hand on her cheek and turned her head towards mine.

"Don't you ever scare us like that again. Don't you ever scare me like that again," I whispered as a tear rolled down my cheek.

Lena wiped away the tear and replied, "it's payback for the bullet wound, Stef." I looked her in the eye with a glare and she started giggling. "What? You're the only one that can make wise cracks in situations like these?" She said.

"Yes, Lena, that's my job," I said laughing.

She smiled at me and I smiled back. We stayed like this until I leaned in. I kissed my wife on her perfect lips that were on her perfect face on her perfect body. I love her so much. I don't know what I would do without her.

She is my love. My sweet, sweet love.
