•Chapter Four•
Dude With the Freakin' Sweet Metal Arm
(STARK TOWER)

"So there's Lady Natasha—we're already met her—Steve Rodgers, Clint Barton, and Tony Stank?" Alrekr recited.

"Stark," I laughed, "but feel free to call him that."

Alrekr nodded, "Stark."

"He's the one that purchased that mask, correct?" Tove asked meekly and I nodded my head.

"And who we're going to prank back with said mask," I explained, pausing to lean back so I could see Käro. "I'm coming up with a plan and you're involved."

Käro grumbled something and set his massive head in his paws. His ears flicked back to rest against his head as he shut his eyes, "it better not involve me having to do much. I'm old and I'm tired."

"You sleep all day."

"That's the point."

"How old are you, anyway?"

"You're not suppose to ask adults how old they are," Käro growled.

"Didn't you say he was friends with the Goddess Eir?" Tove asked.

I nodded, "yeah."

"She is who taught my mother, I would assume that he would be around the same age as Eir." She concluded. I looked to Alrekr and he shrugged in agreement. I turned back to Tove.

"That seems reasona—"

Käro cut me off," why are you so determined to discover my age?"

"You're the one that said you were old."

"I said that hoping you would have the decency to shut up so I could go back to sleep." Käro snapped, I pursed my lips.

"You're mean."

"And you like to pester," Alrekr suddenly injected. I whipped towards him.

"Hey! You're suppose to be on my side."

Alrekr hummed, gently pushing my arm, "I find more often then not that I end up being your voice of reason, elskling."

My heart did a little flip in my chest at the nickname and I forced every ounce of my will power into not blushing. And then I cursed myself even having the urge to blush.

The nickname had started several months ago after I had gotten back from a weekend trip with my dad. Alrekr was explained to me what Allspeak was.

According to him, it was a gift that most of everyone born in the Realm Eternal was gifted with at birth.  Allspeak allowed the Asgardian to understand every language spoken to them.

He also explained that everything spoken by an Asgardian would be translated into the listener's native language unless the Asgardian meant for it not to be translated or it was a name. Like when Loki told me the name of his horse, instead of it translating into the English word shadow it remained in Asgardian, Skygga.
