•Chapter Seven•
The Attack of the Unholy, Mechanical Thief.......aka, the Toaster
(STARK TOWER)

It was Thor whom the voice belong too.  After him, others began filing in as well.  I tilted my head and glanced up at the clock on the wall, it read 7:00am. I'd been talking to Bucky for nearly an hour.

I didn't ask him to clarify what he had meant about my dad—at the moment I didn't really want to know.  Maybe I'd ask Steve about later....

"Mornin' Thor."  I chirped bounding up from my place on the couch.  Despite how early it still was, his eyes were bright and there was a smile on his face.  He was a morning person, I had come to realize—unlike Loki and me.

"Splendid morning, Lorien."  He called back and I almost snorted.

"How much longer until you're heading back?"  I asked, perching myself on one of the bar stools as Thor made a beeline into the kitchen.

"I plan to set off soon."  He murmured and I leaned over the counter to see into the cabinet he was opening.  It wasn't odd for me to find him in the kitchen whenever we visited Earth—he had the appetite of a bear.

I saw him reach for a brightly colored box, "Tony told you stay out of those....that's why they're hidden behind the Tubberware."

Thor shot back up, brightly colored box in hand.  He gave me a look that some how read something along the lines of 'I won't tell Stark you plan to prank him if you keep your mouth shut about the Pop Tarts.'

I glanced over my shoulder, catching a glimpse of Tony's hair as he walked into the room—I spun back around.

"Deal."

Thor gave be a quick grin that showed me yet again, though they weren't brothers by birth—him and Loki were definitely brothers in spirit.  I rolled my eyes, watching him back out of the kitchen with the box before Tony spotted him.

"So Munchkin," speak of the devil, "what are we having for breakfast?"

Tony slipped past the counter, ruffling my hair.  I bared my teeth at him.

"I don't know, Stark.  You're the one in the kitchen."  I growled.  He gave me an absent minded glance before looking around the room.  His blue eyed gaze landed on the open cabinet beneath the island counter.

"Thor!"

And with that, Tony was off stalking across the living room to find the God of Thunder.  I huffed and laid my head down on the counter.  I heard Nat walk up next to me—accompanied by the the fiery smell of cinnamon, soften by vanilla.  It was still slightly weird to me that I could identify people by smell now, but I guess that's how Käro lived.

I'd have to ask him sometime what I smelled like.

"What was all of that about?"  She mused, claiming the bar stock next to mine.

"Thor stole Tony's Pop Tarts again."  I explained, lifting my head.  I couldn't just believe how stupid that sounded coming out of my mouth.

"Oh," Nat chuckled.  I watched Clint and Steve filter in next and then, finally, Alrekr.  His sandy brown hair was tousled and a mess from sleeping on it.  He was dressed in what looked like one of Clint's black t-shirts (probably given to him in the place of his royal blue tunic he had arrived in) and his pants were the ones he had worn from Asgard.  I made a mental note to ask after breakfast to go out shopping for both him and Tove.
