"SCIRA...." I sobbed harder when I saw him.

"Doc..." my voice broke at bago pa man ako mawalan ng lakas ay nasalo niya ako. I fell on his chest as soon as he caught my waist.

"Shhh..." he whispered and I cried on his shirt, napakapit ako roon sa damit niya at napasinghap nang yakapin niya ako.

I hugged him back. Mahigpit ang pagkakayakap ko sa kanya at mahigpit din ang hawak ko sa damit niya.

"D-doc, help me..." I whispered as he nodded, ang kamay niya'y humaplos sa likuran ko at halos mapakalma na ako nito.

"Calm down," he hushed me. "I'll help you, stop crying." His soothing voice whispered.

I couldn't thank the Lord enough because of what happened. I was scared for my life because of my sudden decision but he was good to me because it was Doc all along.

He held both of my shoulder, kaagad niyang hinanap ang mga mata ko at hinaplos ang ilalim nito.

"Sshh, it's alright, I'm here." He hummed and dried my tears.

"D-doc, papatayin nila ako..." bulong ko at nakita ko kung paano kumunot ang noo niya. His eyes darkened, nakita kong umigting ang panga niya at mabilis akong kinabig at tumingin sa paligid.

"Let's get you out of here," aniya pero mabilis akong umiling. I pushed him lightly and caught his eyes.

"A-ayoko na ro'n," I whispered, shaking my head.

"Scira..." he breathed.

"P-please," I tugged his shirt. "They were coming after me, help me..." I saw how his eyes landed on my face and sighed.

He licked his lower lip, combed his disheveled hair frustratedly and nodded.

"Okay..." he told me like he was making the biggest decision in his life. "Saan tayo?"

And it was. If he took me in–or hid me, he'll risk his job and all.

"A-anywhere..." I murmured. "Just not there."

He nodded again, bumaba ang tingin niya sa paa ko at nagulat ako nang sakupin niya ang hita ko pakarga.

I was startled and encircled my arms on his neck, nakita kong sinipa niya ang pintuan ng backseat at naglakad sa front seat habang karga ako.

"Queen..." nilingon ko siya at nakitang nakasulyap siya sa pintuan. "Can you open the door for me?" he said and I did. Inabot ko 'yon at marahang inilapag niya ako sa shotgun seat.

I noticed that we're really in the middle of the road, tanging ang mga puno lang at ang malinis na highway ang narito. I shivered when the cold air touched my skin at nakita kong mabilis na hinubad ni Doc ang suot na coat at inilagay sa balikat ko.

Napasulyap ako roon at nakita kong itinakip niya iyon sa katawan ko.

"We'll go to my house..." aniya sa akin at napakurap ako roon. "Is that..." nag-aalangan siya. "Is that fine with you?" mahinang sabi niya.

I nodded, there's no safer place than him beside me. Ayoko na roon sa ospital.

"Alright," he removed the hair on my forehead and put it behind my ear. "Let's go..."

He jogged to the driver's seat and started the engine.

Tahimik lang akong naroon sa tabi niya habang nagda-drive siya. He was glancing at me almost everytime at ikinukubli ko ang kamay ko sa loob ng coat niya sa balikat ko.
