Pain was ancient history.
Regrets are all I see.
Why didn't I stop you.
Why didn't I believe?

You were smiling like the sun.
Yet you were also drowning
in the deep merciless sea.
You called out for help,
but it was long lost in the waves that bury you.

I should have seen the signs.
The signs that you were suffocating
Long past the depression stage.
Long lost in cruelty's
endless folds of darkness.

I'm sorry I didn't save you.
I'm sorry I didn't see the signs.
And I'm more than sorry,
that you had to endure
life's countless tortures,
all alone.

I hope your happy.
But while I'm picking up tatters of your remains.
I might be repeat your history.
Just with myself.
I hope you rest in peace,
old friend.

Hey, hey, chill. Don't call the suicide prevention number just yet. I'm just thinking back on the memories of my friend. I'm not suicidal. I'm past that stage. Just wanted to let my regrets out. Hope you enjoyed:)
