Painful

It's painful when people keep pushing you torwards goals you don't want to achieve.

It's painful when nobody sees that you're drowning and they just keep adding stuff tied to your feet.

It's painful to hear what they need, and when your protests are blown away with the breeze.

It's painful to be like what they expect to see, knowing full well this isn't whom you want to be.

It's painful when all your good deeds vanish, never to be seen, and your mistakes scaring you, for that's all they see.

It's painful to hear their pleas, saying we'll get through together, knowing it's not us but only me.

But the most painful of all?

Is when these are whom you call family.
