"She's going to be fine Bastian, but you're lucky. Her wolf needs time to heal. You might've thought her wolf wasn't present, but it was and it was injured because of your actions."

"She's going to be fine?"

"She's going to need more and more rest. Her wolf needs rest and her wolf needs you, so I suggest staying close. Don't move her around too much and try and calm her down. The stress isn't helping."

"Are you saying bed rest?"

"Yes and not the type of bed rest where you complete the mating process."

"That's not what I meant."

"Well if you decide to mate with her you need to make sure it's not a blood moon. If you do anything of that sort on the next blood moon she'll be fine and you'll be fine but whatever comes of you two won't be fine. I didn't write curses I just know them and I rather not see her die because she's giving birth to a soul sucker."

"They won't happen right? What I did years back won't do anything to her unless it a blood moon correct?"

"Bastian you love her dearly but your actions have consequences. I'm not completely sure what this will do to her. All I know is that you need to avoid the Blood Moon. She not like most Luna's or Alphas mates. She should've died last night."

"Then why is she alive. What is keeping her alive?"

"Sebastian I'm a witch, not a know all. I simply would need to test her blood and run different tests on her. I won't do that to her when she's like this. Contact me when she's feeling better and her wolf is healed. Until then you should avoid completing the mating process."

"And I know you can hear me Jenifer. I mean it." She calls to me and I open my eyes slightly to finally see the face of the witch. "I know. I'm much more beautiful than imagined." She teases as she leaves the room.

"Babe can I please explain myself?" Bash asks with what seems to be tears in his eyes. "I made a mistake a few years back that has stuck with me and unfortunately got you placed in harms way. I knew a witch and she had a thing for me. I was so tired of waiting. I wanted what you wanted and I wanted it more than anything so I convinced myself she was the one for me. She obviously wasn't but I slept with her anyway and when I eventually broke things off she cursed me. She cursed me so that whoever I would end up mating would be in danger.

"She knew I wouldn't be able to watch my mate in pain so she cursed me so that I couldn't help you during your heat. Last night almost cost me your life and I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry for not thinking and forgetting such a major aspect of my life."

"So I should be dead but I'm not?" I whisper as I turn away from him and pull the comforter over my body. "Why?" I start to feel the tears form in my own eyes before I feel the bed sink down next to me.

"You cannot be stressing out over this Jen. You have to rest and relax."

"How can I relax when I should be dead and when you lied to me about everything? Sebastian I told you I love you and you could've hurt me more than you did."

I've been lied to before but nothing has ever been this serious. I haven't felt so vulnerable since that horrendous night.

"Can you please let me hold you?" He asks as he places a hand on my back and I nod. I'm not about to ruin my chances of healing because I have a stupid man in my life.
