It was 3:30 am, I couldn't sleep. I couldn't talk to Jenna, or anyone. I couldn't go home I don't have a home.
I grabbed my suitcase, and packed. I left a note to Jenna and headed to the airport. I paid the taxi and went into the airport.
"Hi, when is the next flight to Hawaii" I asked the lady
"The next flight is at 5:00am" she said
"Can I have one ticket please" I replied
"Ok, economy, business or first class" she asked
"First class please" I replied
"I.D please" she asked
I gave her my I.D, and she handed me back and a ticket.
"Thank you" I said
"You're welcome" she replied
I went through security and went to go get some food. I went to a Starbucks a got a croissant and a coffee.
I went to my gate and waited till they called my flight.
I waited an hour till they started letting us board.
"First class, you may now start boarding" the lady over the speaker said.
I got up grabbed my backpack and made my towards the plane, the lady scanned my ticket, and I went on the plane. I sat down on my seat and put my airpods in, and the seat next to me was empty.
It was 15 minutes before we departed when a young guy sat next to me. He was cute
I gave him a small smile, knowing I was gonna sit next to him for 10 hours. The plane finally closed and it was time to depart. I closed my window since I wanted some sleep.
"Hey sorry to bother you but do you mind opening your window, I love watching the plane depart. You can close it when we are in the sky, but only if you want to" he asked nicely
"Yeah of course, and I also love departing" I said
"Thanks, I'm Luke" he said
"Hi I'm Lexi" I replied
We finally left the ground and we were up in the air
"You can close the window if you want now" Luke said
"Thanks" I replied
I finally fell asleep, I was exhausted. I woke up 5 hours later to Luke taping my shoulder
"Hey sorry to wake you up, but they are bringing food around" Luke whispered
" it's ok, and thanks for waking me up" I said
I ordered food, and waited for it to come.
"So where are you from" I asked Luke
"New York, what about you? He asked
"Originally New York, but recently moved to California" I replied
"What were you doing in New York" he asked
"Visiting family" I replied
"Ohh fun" he replied
"Well the week was fun" I said with a sarcastic tone
"What happened" he said with a little laugh
I told him what happened this week leaving out the fact about my parents and home.
"And that's how I got the stitches and bruise" I said
"Damn that week was something" he said
"Yeah, and now I look like a wreck" I said
"Noo, you look great" he said
"Aww thanks" I replied
The food came and we realized we both got the same thing.
"You also like chicken nuggets" I said with a chuckle
"Umm yeah of course, who doesn't" he said with a funny face.
We both laughed and people were looking at us.
We finished our food and kept talking
"Does your bruises hurt" he asked
"Not really, but it's annoying that its on my face. People are gonna think I got beat up or something" I said
"I mean you kinda did" he said
"Well you should see the other girl" I said with a little laugh.
Luke and I talk for the rest of the flight and we exchange snaps. I opened the window because we were now landing. We both watched the landing.
"It was good meeting you Luke, I hope we meet again soon" I said
"You too, I'll see you soon Lexi" he said
"See ya" I said
We both got off the plane and headed to the baggage claim. I got my bag and made my way where I can get a Uber. Shit I realized I never booked a hotel. I look on TripAdvisor and find whatever had availability and was good. I got an Uber and made my way to the hotel. I finally reached and I was greeted with a lei. I went to the front desk and checked in
"Hi I'm here to check in" I said
"Name?" She asked
"Lexi whitmore" I replied
"Ok, here are you keys, and wristband for the amenities" she said handing me the stuff
"Thank you" I replied
"You're welcome have a good stay" she said
I went to the elevator, and went up to the 48 floor. I unlocked the door and opened it. I had a suite, I had a mini kitchen, a couch. In the next room was my bathroom and king size bed. I check out the balcony and I had an ocean view. Thank god for Aidan credit card he gave.
I go to my luggage and see if I can find any clothes. I only have shirts and shorts, no swimsuits or Hawaiian style dresses. I go downstairs to the boutique, and pick out some outfits. I payed and went back to the elevator. I go up to my floor, and change. I put some foundation on my bruises to cover up. I grab my flip flops and go down to the pool. I walked to the towel cabana and the person in front of me grabs me a towel
"Thank you" I said
The guy turned around and I saw him
"Luke?" I asked
"So now you're stalking me" he said with a smirk
"Umm no, I just happened to the book this hotel" I replied
"Uh huh, sure" he said
"So you're staying at this hotel?" I asked
"Yup" he replied
"Well I guess I'll be seeing you more often" I replied
"Yes you will indeed" he replied
Someone was calling Luke to come back to the chairs.
"I'll see you around Lexi" he said while walking away
"See you around" I replied
This trip got interesting
