We reached the school, and it was an hour away.
"Ok girls go warm up" coach Megan said
I sat next to her and helped her pick the first five.
The coach walked away to talk to my teammates. I grabbed my phone and texted one person
Joshua, my lawyer.
Hey Joshua, call me whenever you can, I need to talk-Lexi
I put my phone down, and the game started.
The team was competitive but we were more.
We kept going back and forth, blocking and stealing. It was now halftime and they were up by 3.
"Lauren, stop going for layups, when you're open go for the three" I said
Her threes are good, and we need to get back up.
They got back out, and Lauren took my advice and made threes, they didn't expect it from her. They started blocking her, but we changed it up.
It was now 2 minutes on the clock we were up. We had to keep it that way.
"JENNA WATCH THE BALL" I yelled
The buzzer was about to buzz and we were still up
"3,2,1" I said
Buzzzzzz
I jumped out of my seat and yelled
"Good job girls" I said
I grabbed my phone, and I saw a missed call from Joshua
I grabbed my crutches and moved to the side, I called Joshua back
After 3 rings he picked up
"Hey Lexi" Joshua said
"Hey Joshua" I replied
"What's up" he asked
"I need to draw up emancipation documents" I said
"Ok, when are you available?" He asked
"Could we meet tomorrow, at 4pm?" I asked
"Yeah, I have a office in California. So I'll send you the address" he replied
"Ok, thank you" I replied
I ended the call and when back to the team.
"Ok, who's coming back on the bus" Coach Megan asked
The people who did raised there hand
"Ok, follow me" she said
We went back on the bus.
"You did good out there" I said
"Thanks" Jenna said
"Who did you call, you look worried" Jenna asked
"My lawyer" I said
"Why" she asked nervous
"Emancipation papers" I replied
"So you're actually going to do it, you're not even gonna ask Robert to be your guardian?" She said
"Well, if i ask Robert first of all it will be a ugly battle between Robert and Aidan and I don't want them to fight. Secondly he won't let me go back to New York" I said
"So you're gonna go back?" She questioned
"Yeah, I'll move back into my old home. I'll have my trust fund opened, and I'll go back to school. Then apply to college and hopefully able to follow my dreams, and if not my backup is either singing or psychology or modeling or even a designer" I said
