Chapter 97-I dont have to be here

"Ok, the doctor will be here shortly" the receptionist said

"Ok, thank you" I replied

I sat down waiting for the psychiatrist to call me. I didn't want to be here, I didn't have to be here.

"I actually remembered I have a prior commitment" I said

"Doctor O'Shea said to make sure you talk to the doctor today" she said

"Yes but I have to go see Aidan" I said

I know they were scared of Aidan

"Alexis, it's good to see you" someone said from the door that opened leading to different offices

"Sorry Doctor, but I need to go home" I said

"Actually I called Mr. Valentino and he said that you have no commitment at home and we can continue the appointment" the doctor said

Fuck, why did he call Aidan . I knew he was going to tell Aidan everything, he could destroy him. I couldn't tell them anything

"I don't have to be here" I said

"Thats up to you but I will be telling Aidan that you skipped the appointment" he said

"Go ahead he doesn't care" I said

I started walking out, I went to the elevator, then went downstairs. I got in my car and drove home.

I decided to go to the cafe, and drown myself in acai.

I walked in and sat in my normal seat.

"Hey Lexi, want the usual? Tyler asked

"Yes" I replied

6 more months, 6 more months of hell and I'll be gone.

"Here you go" he said

"Thanks" I said

"Hey you seem sad what happen?" He asked

"I got bad news about my knee" I said

"What happened" he asked

"I won't get 100% function of my knee, it will be 80-85%. So bye bye basketball" I said

"I'm sorry this happened, life is a rollercoaster" he said

"Yes it is" I replied

I ate my acai, and sat there. I watched out of the window seeing people laugh and have fun. I wanted that.

I payed for my acai and left. I went back in my car and drove home. I got out of the car and went inside

Aidan was coming from his office hallway

"Alexis I need to speak to you" he said

"Ok" I said

I walked with him towards his office. I still didn't like coming down here, knowing a man was killed downstairs.

"I talked to doctor O'Shea, he told you to go to see the psychiatrist. The psychiatrist called me and told me you didn't go to the appointment" he said

"Yeah, didn't feel like going" I replied

"Well you're going next time. You've been off lately and I don't need that" he said

"Off?"

"I've been off because I say a man get shot by my brother, my brother don't care about me anymore. The day I got home with no crutches no one gave a single fuck. The other day when I ran to my car you fucking dragged my out of my car and I opened my stitches. The doctor told me my knee won't be at 100% anymore, it's now at 80%, I won't be able to play my fullest potential. So Aidan yes I've been off" I said storming off
