8 | deep blue, sea of red

Clocks ticking until push comes to shove
Left, right—try to find answers to problems you cannot solve
These inherent troubles life chooses to give
How one season changes in one's life left to live
Changes go, changes give you the choice
To find yourself—when times are hard, choose to hear your voice
Because when waves arise and the sun goes away
It's you, and only you, who could find your way
Even when the sand sinks and swallows you whole
Look up and see the battlefield consume your soul
For if the heart is teeming with words left unsaid
Life will be bloody—far from deep blue, but sea of red

Back when things are fine and love is sweet
Cherish it, we did, but blind are we to its evident exit
Should they say that we are meant for each other
I'll laugh and hope that they'll realize later
That love is never the thing to ever stay still
It always leaves you then renews against your will
And then, in the sway of wind against the waves
I'll call for you, deep and buried within the graves
Because even if shadows consume all hatred and greed
We are like sea and sand, destined to stay discrete
For when the mind is full off things wished instead
Love will be war—deep blue, ending in sea of red

They said fight for your heart, fight for yourself
But I did and sooner than later, I have nothing left
Is it better, then, to just remain quiet and serene
To never let anyone know you've been hurting within?
Because even if love is there to hear all you say
Why are you so sure it will always be here every day?
And in nature, the sun shines even though the moon is on its way
Follow your course, they say, but what if the path is all to sway
Meanwhile, I dig trenches with my feet as I walk the sand
I think about love, life, and everything revolving this land
For when the eyes peered deeper at the troubled soul, lost and dead
Belief will be our salvation—almost deep blue, but  really, sea of red

Clocks will be thinking until time withers completely
Up and down, find love even if this world is greedy
Inside the problems left by the life we are forced to live
Find your peace that only you can weave
Change is part of our cycle—with love found and love lost
But even when times are hard, find meaning in these goodbyes
Because, in the end, you don't know how much you cost
So be free and find meaning in Heaven's eyes
I digress, because I know everything is bound to end someday
I see the end drawing near as the night turns into gray
Somehow, I find joy in moments not planned ahead
So live through life—deep blue, but all the while, sea of red

Clocks will be thinking until time withers completelyUp and down, find love even if this world is greedyInside the problems left by the life we are forced to liveFind your peace that only you can weaveChange is part of our cycle—with love found an...

I have no idea what this poem means. Really. Following the personal success of Sandcastles, Falling Waves, I thought it's a good idea to make another poem with the same format. Not necessarily that I have a topic in mind. I just wanted to replicate it. So now, you have this poem that even now, I don't know its meaning nor its interpretation.

But hey, art can be interpreted in a whole lot of ways.

How about you? What does this poem mean to you?  Comment below. :)
