Good or bad, it's your love—so decide If you will give it away or let it reside On someone undeserving—it's a choice And when things get hard, don't lose your voice Because in love, you'll get silenced for the things you do You'll discard comfort so he'll love you Loving someone is pain, all throughout the process Some efforts are judged, some are thrown over the fence Because in love, there will be paths crossed Pieces of your life will fall apart—broken and lost Love will tear you to shreds, believe me So don't dare fall in love if you want to keep your sanity

Better or worse, it's your life, so live it well Don't give in to sweet words and flowers, pray tell Be watchful of your surroundings, be sure you're able to walk out It's better if you are in peace than drowning in your own doubt Because love is sacrifice—everything you do is on loan So be ready to face debt, favors, even losing your throne Love is a journey—a commitment you have to live through It's an undying promise and if unkept, will forever haunt you Because love is scary and requires all your understanding Every definition, every scenario, every little thing Love is a trap—a prison where you'll never be free So, darling, don't dare fall in love until you are ready

It's officially two years old back on November 29. This poem is a reflection of how I view love back then. I remember writing this while being bored in my Highschool classroom. So yeah.
