Melodies of sound laughter ring in the air
Because I was there, under the swell of galaxy's lair
Of all this bright and light in the sky
Why am I the only one to see your fading light
Even when all is happy, merry, and blithe
What should we do now that fairness is lithe?
And then again, everything seemed fine now that we're here
When I am with them, I'm happy, audacious, and austere
But when I come home, there the darkness reign
I live through the night, waiting for salvation in vain
Because all things are bound to fade from what we see
All I've been left with are the sun, moon, stars, and me

The sun shines even when the dark is day
Sky blue, deep red, the light follows its way
But though the sun shines, the sun dims
Through the dark of night, my favor is darker, it seems
The sun from up high looks down, he looks from above
He looks at me, rays burning bright with love
But all things are built to vanish if times are troubled
So I prepare myself, seeing how my problems have doubled
Even when life turns on me, I'd forever be this
The same little person that plagued the streets
Because the things have left are all temporary
All that remained are the sun, moon, stars, and me

And I believed, I swore my heart to quell inside
That in the heavens, in hope will I reside
Love is bittersweet, clench that little hope I have
Look heavenward, try to find peace from above
When I am home, I remember the times spent together
I smile to myself, hoping it lasts forever
Feelings fade but feelings return
All the while, the moon shines and the stars burn
Everything I lost, the sun and moon gave back
Those things I long for, they gave me things I lack
Shout to the stars my dreams—things I'm hoping to be
I'm glad that I have the sun, moon, and stars with me

But things die and love fades away
Once here, joy is fleeting, no matter how you plead it to stay
Forever is overrated, the time is running fast and low
Once love is found, now love is lost in sorrow
The sun left, the moon shone less at night
Stars dim, die, explode—all in fading light
Why, then, did I not take note of how things end
Maybe because when the heart is happy, perceptions blend
When the mind is idle, the heart flutters still
Love revives, oftentimes very well against your will
When the sky vanish in the darkness and light in melancholy
All I have left will be the memories of the sun, moon, stars, and me

But things die and love fades awayOnce here, joy is fleeting, no matter how you plead it to stayForever is overrated, the time is running fast and lowOnce love is found, now love is lost in sorrowThe sun left, the moon shone less at nightStars dim...
