I am not really one to censor reading. I think people should read as much as they can. But there is stuff out there that is just crap. It's not that I don't understand why it is popular. I get it. But I would love my kids to read some good writing. Something with some actual literary value. Or even something with some nice prose would be nice. It doesn't have to be the classics. Just something with some solid writing.
Lauren has never been one to enjoy reading. I have to trick her into reading and she has gotten into some YA stuff, but not much. The other day she made the unusual request to get dropped off at the bookstore with some friends. She never asks to go to the bookstore. I should have known better.
