Stumbling around her apartment half-dressed, Reese was barely keeping herself together. With the burden of having to raise her 5-year-old son on her own, and managing all the bills while juggling 2 jobs, it was wonder she was still sane.

It wasn't easy for her when Derek passed. He was everything to her, he was her rock, her solid foundation. Though he wasn't around very often, his love and presence warmed her heart. Even from another country.

He fought bravely for his country in the battlefield, dying in duty and with honor.

But he was still a husband, and a father.

It was tough.

But Reese was not going to give up, not when she had Dylan to take care of.

Pulling on a simple floral dress, she grabbed her bag and set out to pick Dylan up from childcare.

As she walked along the streets of Chicago, she muttered to herself.

"It's going to be alright."
