The Promise

What Happened ?

**Beth**
**The Next Day **

When I woke up , I took a shower and then packed up my things . When I was done , Alex woke up .
"Morning ," He said .
"Morning ," I said .
He got up from the bed and kissed me .
"I'm going to say goodbye to Lia ," I said .
"Okay ," He said as he grabbed his clothes and went the bathroom .

I walked to Lia's room and knocked on the door .
Lia opened the door and said ," Hey Beth ".
"Hey ;" I said as I came into her room .
"I just came here to tell you that I'm leaving ," I said sadly .
"Ohhh," She said .
We hugged each other tightly and said that we should never forget each other and I won't .

We had each other 's numbers to chat and then we said our final goodbye and left .
I met up with my parents , Alex and his mother at the entrance of the boat .
We then took our car and drove to our house.
It was a long drive so I fell asleep on Alex 's lap .

When I woke up , I was in my bed in my bedroom .
I then saw Alex then Cathy and Ally and Jake .
"Beth! " Cathy and Ally screamed and then trapped me in a hug .
"Hey ,"I said but not that audible .
They got off of me and I got off the bed .
"Hey ,"Jake said from where he was standing .

"Hi,"I said feeling really guilty .
Alex , Cathy and Ally watched us and then Cathy said ," Jake has something to you ". And then Cathy took Ally hand and ran out the room with her .
"Guys !" He said .
Then Alex left and closed the door.
"What do you have to tell me ?" I asked .
"Uh , I missed you ," He said .
"I missed you too ," I said lying to him .

"Dinner is ready ," My mother said shouting from the kitchen .
Jake and I went downstairs to eat .
When we got there , everything was set .
I sat next to Alex and we all ate dinner.
When we were all done , we helped cleared the table .
I was washing a plate when someone's arm touched mine and that made me to jump .

"Its me ," Alex said .
"Sorry ," I said as I went back to washing the plates .
"So , what did Jake want to tell you ?" Alex asked .
"He just said that he missed me but that's  a lie. I know it ," I said.
"Okay ," He said and then he continued to help me with the dishes. .

When we were done , we went to see what Jake , Ally and Cathy were doing in the living room since our parents left .
"What you guys up to ?" I asked as I sat down .
"Nothing , were just bored ," Ally said .
"What should we do ?" Cathy asked .
"We could bake ," Ally suggested .
"Okay ," I said as I got back up and went to the kitchen and we started to take out the ingredients to bake .

"Did Jake tell you ?" Cathy asked.
"He just told me he missed me ," I said .
"He should have told you  the truth," Cathy said .
"What is the truth ?" I asked. 
"Nothing ," Ally said quickly .
"What's the truth ?" I asked again .
"Ally stop ," Cathy said .
"No you stop ," Ally said .
"What is going on ? Would one of  you just tell me ?" I asked. 

Ally then went out the door angrily .
"Ally ," Cathy said going after her and I went with her .
We caught up with her and I said ,"Ally what was all that about ?".
"Just leave me alone ," Ally said and walked away. 
Cathy then walked away as well. 
What happened to my best friends while I was gone ? I asked myself .

I walked back to the house and closed the door .
I went to the living room and saw Alex .
"Where did Jake go ?" I asked .
"He left ," Alex said .
I laid on Alex 's lap and he pushed my hair from my face back .
"Alex ," I said .
"Yeah ," He said .
"What happened while we were away ?" I asked .

"I don't know ," He said and let out a heavy sigh .
"We have to tell them ," He said .
"I know I do ," I said and got off of his lap and said ," Which is why I am going to tell them now ," I said .
"But its nighttime ," He said. 
"Fine , tomorrow I will ," I said as I sat back down and laid on his lap .
"I don't want anything to happen to them ," He said .
"Me neither ," I said as I got more comfortable on his lap .

Soon I fell asleep .

**The Next Day **
I woke up in Alex 's bed but Alex wasn't there .
I went out of his bed to the kitchen and the aroma of breakfast hit my nose like the sea hitting the shore with its strong waves .
"Morning ," I said. 
"Morning , I made breakfast ," Alex said. 
"Yum " I said as I went back upstairs to brush my teeth and take a shower. 

When I was done , I went to eat my breakfast . When I was done , I washed my plate and grabbed my keys and said to Alex ," Wish me luck " .
"Good luck ," He said and then I closed the door and drove to Cathy 's house because that is where they all were .
When I reached there , I knocked on the door and Cathy opened it .
"Hey , come on in ," Cathy said .
"I came here because I needed to tell you and Cathy about something that happened ," I said getting kinda nervous. 

I went to the living room and Jake and Ally were there cuddling on the couch sleeping together .
"What is this ?" I asked. 
"Ally needs to tell you ," Cathy said. 
"I'll just wait until they wake up ," I said .
"Want anything while we wait ?" I asked .
"Nope ," I said .

**A Few Hours Later **

We were in Cathy 's guest bedroom which was downstairs when the door suddenly opened and I saw Jake and Ally kissing each other . They closed the door and then they saw us .
"Beth... " Ally said .
