they're sitting by the fire, and her head rests in the crook of his neck. his hand that is wrapped around her and is settled on her waist is warm, and she feels her eyes drooping. "what're you thinking about?" she asks.

"nothing."

"aidan," she says, all traces of sleepiness aside as her fingers lightly push his jaw so he looks at her. "most of a relationship is trust, and since we've been dating for about four months now, i need you to trust me. what were you thinking about?"
