When her eyes opened, she rubbed at them, her back sore from falling asleep on the hospital chair.

She looked around her to see the entire football team sound asleep. She smiled as she got to her feet and tip toed away from the group of guys.

She walked towards the nurse's desk.

"Hi, my friend was in surgery, I want to know if he came out?"

"Caleb Cooper?"

Aurora nodded.

"Yeah that's him."

"He's in the third room. You can go see him."

Aurora knocked on the door as she poked her head inside of the room.

Caleb smiled up at her.

"I thought you left?"

Aurora entered as she shook her head.

"I fell asleep with the rest of your teammates."

"They're all out there?"

Aurora nodded as Caleb pat the space next to him on the bed.

She took a seat.

"How are you feeling?"

"Like I'm ready for next week's game."

He grinned.

Aurora shook her head.

"Are you crazy? Caleb you have broken ribs."

"That can heal. I can push myself through the rest of this season. It's just four more games."

Aurora couldn't believe her ears. She knew Caleb loved football but he could seriously hurt himself out there.

"Caleb what if you get tackled again?"

He shook his head.

"Aurora you're worrying and you need to stop. I'll be fine okay."

"Promise."

She stuck her pinky finger out causing him to laugh.

"You know you're cute right?"

She rolled her eyes.

"Pinky finger sir."

He wrapped his pinky finger around hers.

"I promise you I'll be careful but I need scouts to see me Aurora."

She nodded because she understood. This was his livelihood. She couldn't stop him from doing what he loved.

"Logan's out there."

Caleb's eyebrow arched.

"He came for me or you?"

Aurora rolled her eyes.

"Definitely you."

Caleb wrapped his hand around hers as he chuckled.

The chuckle causing him to flinch. It hurt Aurora to see him in this much pain.

"Aurora I have to tell you something."

Her eyebrow arched.

"What?"

A sigh escaped Caleb's lips.

"It's about Logan and why he cut us off."

Aurora was confused. Didn't they discuss this already?

"I didn't want to tell you until I was sure."

Her eyes met his.

Caleb was avoiding her gaze and she didn't understand why.
