Sam's POV

As I was sitting in the car my dad asked who I was talking too before I got in.

"Just a friend."

"Alright then."

"Hey, is it okay if I hang out with him this weekend?"

"Most definitely not."

"Come on, why not?"

"Because I don't want you hanging around boys."

He never let's me hang out with anyone. I thought to myself not saying out loud because I didn't want to anger him more because if I did everything would go right down hill.

This is why I hate my father. He also litteraly tries to hit me for the littlest of things and it's even worse when he's drunk.

On our way to our house I just admired the view from my window trying my best not to make eye contact with my dad.

After what felt like forever we finally got home. I quickly went to my room before my dad could say anything. I looked at myself in the mirror for about five minutes before I decided to change the way I look. I grabbed a pair of scissors and cut off my long curly brown hair to where it was right at my shoulders. It felt better than having thick hair that's so heavy it pulls your head back.

That's when I realized what the heck my dad would do if he saw my hair. I started to panic but tried to be quiet so he wouldn't hear me. I tried to think of all the things I could do to hide it but it was too obvious. That's when my dad walked in my room. I froze. "What the hell did you do to your hair?" I stayed silent. "NEVER DO THINGS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!" My father screamed throwing a whiskey bottle towards me but luckily I dodged it. Then he left my room slamming the door.

After about an hour my dad brought me up dinner. "Hey sorry for earlier." He then handed me the plate. "It's okay," I said underneath my breath. "You're still daddy's little girl, right?"  I didn't respond. Then he walked out of my room saying how disrespectful I am for not responding and not speaking up. I just ate my food and tried to forget about what happened.
