Taylor Henderson- Borrow my heart

-Skyler-

The back of my feet bobbed up and down repeatedly as I shifted my position in my seat.

I sat in small wooden chair outside of the lawyers office as Harry sat in on the reading of Peter's will.

Hours had past and I became uncomfortable in the small chair.

As I contemplated the thought of standing; the door opened, allowing the people inside to slowly file out of the small room.

I stood up as I caught sight of Harry.

"How'd it go?" I ask in a hushed tone, placing my hand on his arm

"Good I guess. This is my first will reading so I have nothing to compare it to. Could've used more snacks" A small smirk danced across his face

I cocked my head, confused as to why he was in such a light hearted mood after he just took part in something he was dreading

As though he could read my expression, he took me outside, away from the rest of the people.

He took off his suit jacket and loosened his tie. The wind whistled around us, cooling us down from the beating sun

"I realized" Harry began "That there's no point in being depressed and down about Mr. Billings. He wouldn't have wanted that. He wouldn't want that at all"

I leaned against our car as I listened to him speak

"The will reading. There was another letter that didn't get to me" he pushed his curls out of his way as the wind whipped them back into his face "He specifically asked me in this letter to remain happy.  As I read the letter I could almost hear him reading it to me. He wants me to be happy And I'm not going to let him down"

I can't believe at how strong of a man Harry is. To go through something like this and remain untouched, simply for the sake of someone else.

Harry tossed his jacket over his shoulder, gripping just a small piece of the material to keep it from falling

"With that being said, let's go get some lunch and we will discuss what Peter has decided to bless us with" he smiled, opening my car door for me

I stuck my hand into the Wendy's bag and pulled out our chicken sandwiches and fries, placing them on our dinning room table

Harry grabbed two water bottles out of the fridge, setting them beside the wrapped up food

"There were only a couple people at the reading" I point out, taking a seat

"Yeah. His nephew was there, and so was his youngest sister. Neither one of them were very close to him I guess. They didn't even seem like they wanted to be there"

"Well neither did you, Harry" I remind him "It's not exactly a fun thing to do"

"No, not in that way" he clarifies "It seemed like they didn't care"

"Oh"

"Well anyway" Harry pulled his seat closer to the table before grabbing a piece of paper out of his pant pocket "First order of business, I get all of Lily's old watering cans" Harry held the cutest smile on his face

"That's precious" I laughed softly and held my hand to my heart

"Yeah" Harry laughed, popping a fry into his mouth "So His money went to his family, of course"

I took another bite of my sandwich; nodding as he went on

"He owns a small lakeside cabin at Lake Hartwell in South Carolina. He wanted me to have it"
