When Meredith and Derek came home, they found both of their sisters cuddled up on the couch together. Amelia had her head layed on Abbys chest asleep, as Abby ran her fingers through the sleeping girls hair.

"Hey... everything okay?" Meredith asked referring to the girl, who let out gentle snores and mutters in her sleep.

"The kids broke your sister." Abby replied looking towards Derek.

Just then Amelia stirred awake, groaning slightly at the fact she had to move. "It's not them." Her voice was low and raspy after just waking up, but Abby couldn't deny it was hot. "I didn't come here to see how your perfect life worked, I came to see if I could do it. The whole freaking thing."

It was clear she was beginning to spiral, not giving anyone chance to speak. "The kids and marriage and the full time careers because I want that, and I'm wrecked after one day, and I wasn't even alone. Who knows what I'd be like if Abby wasn't here." She paused running her hands down her face in frustration.

"It goes on the list of things that I suck at because... I can't." Just then she got up and left, sniffling along the way.

"Well I knew that was too good to be true." Meredith said. Abby shot her a 'really?' glare and she just shrugged back. "Why don't you go fix you sister-" But before Derek could go, Abby had gotten up and followed after Amelia.

Amelia heard a gently knocking on the door. From the other side of it Abby heard a soft "come in" so she slowly opened the door to be met with Amelia sat on the floor with her knees pulled up to her chest.

Amelia couldn't help but smile when she saw Abby, instead of her brother. But when she caught herself she quickly changed her expression, hoping the woman in front of her hadn't noticed.

"Hey." Amelia sniffled as she wiped her tear stained cheeks. "You didn't have to follow me in here."

"Oh but I did. You wanna talk about it?" Abby asked as she slowly made her way to the floor letting out a low groan as she got down. "This is further down than I thought."

Amelia let out a low chuckle and Abby couldn't help but smile at how she could cheer the woman in front of her up. Abby nudged Amelias shoulder gently, "C'mon, talk to me. I know we haven't known each other long but, I can still listen."

Amelia just sighed contemplating whether to share or not. "I just, I'm scared. I'm scared that I'm gonna sign up for this life of a husband and kids and a job and just a stable life and then I'm not gonna want it. That I'm gonna resent myself for not doing what I wanted."

"Well what is it you want?"

"I have no idea." At that Amelia just broke. Relentless sobs escaped her mouth as she curled up into Abby's side. The two just sat there as Abby slowly ran her hand up and down the other girls arm in an attempt to comfort her.

"Shhh, its okay. Look at me." Amelia didn't look up she just kept her gaze on the floor in embarrament. "Hey, look at me." Abby grabbed her chin to force her eyes to hers. "It's okay to not know what you want. It perfectly fine to not know. That doesn't mean somethings wrong ok. I have no idea what I'm doing. Hell I'm living at my sisters for gods sake."

Amelia just nodded as she slowly stopped crying. Abby just continued talking. "And as for the kids thing. You'll do great trust me. I saw you out there, you did well - ish. With a little practice you'll be a pro. And the good thing about these kids, you can give them back." Amelias face split into a huge grin as she just laughed. Her eyes still stuck on the green ones in front of her, Abby's on the girls gorgeous smile.

"There it is. There's that smile." It came out almost as a whisper but still it caused Amelias cheeks to turn a shade of pink. She tried to hide it but Abigail saw it, smirking at the fact that she had caused it. Abby hadn't realised until now that both of their faces were extremely close, only inches apart.

The two just sat there, on the bathroom floor, staring at each other, neither one wanting to look away. Abby slowly reached a hand up and tucked a loose strand of hair behind Amelias ear and gently said, "You're beautiful, you know that?" Again another wave of heat rushed to Amelias cheeks.

Just then a loud harsh knock wrapped on the door. Both girls jumped and hurriedly backed away from one another. "Everything okay in there?" It was Derek. Abby cursed him under her breath for ruining the moment before speaking loud enough for him to hear. "Yeah, we'll be out in a minute."

She sighed standing up before reaching a hand out to help the other woman up. "Thanks" She muttered lowly as she got up. "That is a long way down." She chuckled as Abby just let out a sarcastic "Right!"

After dinner all four adults went to bed, but Abby couldn't sleep. She slowly walked into the living room to get the the kitchen, trying not to wake Amelia up. But as she walked towards the couch she saw the woman wasn't there.

"Amelia?" She called out into the dark room.

"In the kitchen."

As Abby made her way around the kitchen island to see Amelia sat on top of it, her legs swinging as the dangled off the edge. "Hey, couldn't sleep?" Abby asked, internally slapping herself for asking such an obvious question.

"Not really, you?"

"Eh" Abby replied with a shrug. She stood in front of her, the small distance between the island and the cupboard behind her made it so she was pretty much stood in between her legs.

"What's going on in the pretty head of yours?" Abby asked, slightly shocked by her own confidence.

"Just rethinking all my life decisions, you know, the usual."

"Hey, I know it's late and all, but. I don't know, you wanna watch a movie or something?" Abby laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back if her neck.

"Sure. What we watching?" Amelia hopped of the counter, now stood very close to the woman in front her. Abby still wore a slight smirk as she looked down on her. The height difference made rather apparent.

"Anything you want." Abby replied with a slight wink as she brushed past Amelia to go sit down on the couch. Amelia stood there, trying to regain her composure.

Abigail Grey was making her feel things, things nobody ever had, but she couldn't quite place what it was.
