-Chapter 24-

"Did someone say my name?"

The entirety of the arena became silent as the spectators registered what the armor clad Olympian had just said. Chills raked throughout their bodies as they continued to stare at the scene in front of them. Percy covered in Ares's ichor with black flames coating his armor, the Olympian council standing before them with weapons drawn and the God of war whose stomach was practically cut open and his face unrecognizable.

"Dear Gods, help us all." A minor God whispered to himself but was heard by everyone. They soon all realized that this wasn't a simple match between Olympians anymore. It was a match between Olympians and....

"Tartarus." Zeus growled, glaring at the man before him who cocked his head to the side at the mention of his name. The Olympians took a subconscious step backwards as they felt the dark, sinister arua from "Percy" directed at them. The spectators who were unfortunate enough to feel this aura, crumpled to their knees and cradled their head, desperately trying to stay sane.

"Stop this, Percy!" Poseidon called out to his son who continued to stand above the defeated Ares. "You're not like this! You're not a murderer!" He pleaded but to no avail.

"Poseidon, your words fall on deaf ears. That thing standing before us isn't your son!" Zeus said to his brother. The sea God growled in annoyance but reluctantly stopped his tirade before things could escalate further. Zeus, after making sure his older brother wouldn't run blindly into battle, turned his attention back to the demon before him. "Tartarus! I command you to leave Perseus's body at once! Your kind that used to reign ended long ago and has no place for the mortal world anymore. Leave and return to your plain of existence at once!" The king of the Gods commanded.

Silence once again enveloped the arena as spectators and Olympians alike awaited for Tartarus's reply. The king of Hell seemed to contemplate Zeus's words before letting out what could only be described as a shrill, demonic laugh that almost busted everyone's eardrums. Zeus narrowed his eyes at the demon's response before summoning his lightning bolt. This signaled the other Olympians to ready their weapons, aimed at the man standing before them.

Tartarus put his sword, which was coated in Ares's blood, under the God's chin in retaliation at the weapons being pointed at him. Clarisse, watching the scene from her seat, clasped her hands to her mouth as she desperately tried to keep her emotions at bay. There was no telling what "Percy" would do to her if his attention was brought to the daughter of the war God.

"Don't you dare do it." Zeus whispered with lightning flashing in his eyes. Percy's head and body began to violently twitch almost as if he was possessed. Everyone watching cringed as they heard bones crack loudly but as quickly as the twitching began it ended with Percy standing completely still as if nothing had just happened. Zeus took a sharp intake of air as the demon before them finally responded.

"You're...in no position...to demand such things....little God."

Everyone gasped as they heard what the King of Hell sounded like. It was deep, powerful, and demonic but what was perhaps the scariest thing was that Percy's voice could still be heard in his tone. It was almost as if both he and Tartarus were speaking in unison.

"Percy." Artemis spoke out, trying to see if there was any sign of the man she respected still there. But the man standing in front of her didn't bat an eye or even twitch at the mention of the name.

"That isn't Percy, Artemis! This is the primordial king of Hell and you do your best to remember that before you're killed!" Zeus yelled at her.

"Yes...remember that well little girl. I am your king, your destroyer...your God." Tartarus's deep voice resonated causing everyone to once again flinch in fear. Their knees shook and their blood ran cold as the realization set in that they would almost likely die today. They couldn't feel any hope in their hearts that they'll make it to see the next day.
