I never expected my roommate to be so cool and welcoming, 'or maybe you're just a lucky bitch and got the best roommate' ,"ehh I am one lucky bitch aren't I?"

Rory and I became best friends instantly and bonded over our obsession on sushi, I may be half Korean and Italian but Japanese food is still superior. We headed to Canes for dinner and that shit tasted so good.

Since I missed orientation day, Rory is helping tour me around campus tomorrow after my lectures, and then she said she wanted introduce to me her favorite café in New York called 'a cup of joy'.

Time flew by with Rory, I thought I wouldn't be able to make friends that quickly but Rory already helped me confirm that moving here was the best decision and indecisive bitch like me could ever make.

'If you keep laying here, I'm almost 101% sure that you would be late on your very first day Arabella', Does anyone else's subconscious be a literal bitch to them, or is it just me?

【２：１７ｐ．ｍ．】

Lectures took forever and my feet are sore from touring around the whole campus, I must say, I do like the keep low profiles in classes so I sat at the back of the class as I didn't want to draw attention to myself and be called out for a question I didn't even know the answer to.

By the time Rory and I toured campus, I was so done. I could not wait to leave through those main gates. It's only my first day and I already have multiple research papers and essays due. I heard Rory mentioning how she loves working at the café since it is calming for her, so hopefully I can pull my shit together and get stuff done.

Rory mentioned that she works part time at a really cute and simple library close to school because she is a book fanatic and she just loves the smell of books and how quiet it is there. I have a presentation tomorrow in school even though it is a Saturday 'insert eye roll' so I decided to head with her to the library she works at tomorrow together and just go over my script and slides in preparation before my presentation.

Rory was right, this café was not only close to school but it has the perfect environment to be productive with addictive food and coffee. We aren't allowed coffee machines in our room due to safety measures and the school is worried that we may get the room dirty as well. To make it worse but the coffee machine in the lounge barely works half of the time so this really helped fix my coffee 'craving', which I really was in need of.

The café itself isn't too crowded and noisy that it's distracting since the shop is in a hidden corner shop which is a factor that contributed to just the overall atmosphere and environment of everything.

【４　ｈｏｕｒｓ　ｌａｔｅｒ．．．】

Rory and I just went to a pizza shop nearby to grab two huge slices for dinner, by the time we reached home, we both were mentally and physically drained. Rory took a shower and fell asleep instantly while I was just scrolling through my phone when I heard a...'DING!'

I saw the notification pop up and smiled when I saw who texted me

I may hate my brothers till the end of eternity, but at the end of the day we all know that we would do anything for each other. My mum used to lecture us in the chat every time we cuss at each other but at this point I think she has pretty much given up. My dad is always the quietest in the group as he doesn't check his text messages often, in his words and I quote "if it was important they would have just given me a call".

I went over my script once more because tomorrow

I went to bed with positive thoughts of how grateful I am for everything and what surprise tomorrow will bring. Maybe this impulsive decision is really the best life choice I've made my whole life.
