Splitting Headache

There was no doubt that there was a group of three countries close by.

Germany looked down at them, thoughtfully.

"Norway." He said bending down to look at the other two.

"Ireland and the USA." He said.

"How do you know for sure?" You ask him.

"Look at the distance between their steps and compare it to their height." He said.

"Huh." You said, tilting you head.

Then you were interrupted by a bloodcurdling shriek.

"We have to find them as soon as possible." Germany said, unsettled.

You set off, following the trace the three had left.

Another footprint was added to the three. UK had also found the group.

That means that all of the remaining survivors are together.

The footprints led you to another meadow. USA, Ireland, Norway and UK all stood over three figures, who were hurt and crippled. You and Germany hurried over.

Sweden, Brazil and... and North Korea?

"He has been taking countries and feeding them to... to the shadow." Brazil chocked.

North Korea glared at her.

Sweden looked up to Norway.

"We thought you were dead." She said, looking up to him scoldingly.

"I'm sorry." Norway rasped.

Germany joined Norway's side.

Both Sweden's and Norway's eyes widened.

"You're Safe!" Norway exclaimed, he then turned to you, his eyes started to flood with relief.

"The shadow attacked us." Sweden explained to Germany.

"Where's Canada?" USA asked.

"She died saving Mexico." Brazil murmured.

USA stumbled and sat down.

"What about Iceland? Denmark? Netherlands? Finland?" Norway asked hopefully.

Sweden gave Norway a necklace and shook her head.

"Austria? Switzerland? Belgium?" Germany asked.

Sweden shook her head again.

Brazil started to get covered by the dark cloud. Sweden's eyes filled with sorrow.

"She was brave, never gave up."

Swedens eyes started to turn black.

"The necklace... it's Iceland's. I found it in this meadow... he got kidnapped and sacrificed... for the shadow..."

You saw red droplets fall into the snow. Norway held a stone tightly between his fingers, making blood drip from his fingernail.
