I laughed loudly as I ran through the corridors, running from Slughorn and McGonagall, along with Remus and Sirius, as we were trying to lose them in the rather crowded halls.

I looked over my shoulder to find Slughorn falling behind in the chase.
We kept quiet, because we had yet to be identified by our professors, the only things heard were our laughter and our feet hitting the pavement.
I mean, by now McGonagall had probably figured out who we were already, but the chase was still fun.
We took a hard right, running into a packed corridor, and while in the middle of the students, we had had the time to slow down slightly.
"Where to?" Remus asked and Sirius smirked, looking to his side, before ditching us without any other word. "Well, we've been ditched, so it's your call. Where do we go?"
I smiled at him, blinking my eyes in the cute way I had learnt Remus simply couldn't say no to.
"We could take a certain secret passage to a certain place, and go watch the Christmas lights?" I suggested as I pouted and Remus rolled his eyes at me, before taking my hand and joining the student flow, moving along the crowd.
"Should we be prepared to head for the kitchens for hot cocoa after?" Remus asked and I nodded eagerly, tightening my scarf around my neck.
We reached the entrance of the passage, which was in a more secluded corridor, and we looked around before opening the passage and stepping inside.
At the same time, Remus and I took out our wands and said "Lumos Maxima."
The passage lit up, and we carefully made our way through, not talking much, but as soon as we stepped out and into Hogsmead, I clung to Remus's arm. "Isn't this the prettiest view?" I asked as we walked around the village, and Remus let out a slight chuckle.
"If you're talking about yourself, then yes, this is the prettiest view." He said softly, and I stopped in front of him, looking him in the eye.
"Remus John Lupin, did you just flirt with me?" I asked as I put my hands on my waist, probably striking one hell of a pose.
"So what if I did?" Remus asked as he smirked, before placing his arms around my waist and pulling me closer to him. "It's been seven years since we met, three since I realized I was falling for you, two since we first kissed and confessed, and yet, nothing serious was assumed. What harm can a little flirting cause?" Remus asked and I smiled brightly at him.
"Firstly, I have no Sirius to assume, and if you have, that seems like a 'you' problem. Secondly, why just flirt when you know you can go further?" I asked as I placed my arms around his neck, and Remus removed one of his hands from my waist, retrieving his wand.
"Well, the mistletoe is right above our heads, so what do you say?" he asked and I looked up, finding the sprig of mistletoe floating above us.
I smiled, "Well, kissing under the mistletoe is a tradition, and you know I don't break traditions."

FIVE YEARS LATER

Christmas time had become too hard to bear for Remus and I, With James and Lilly gone, and Sirius in prison - wrongfully imprisoned, I was sure- Christmas had become a rather depressing time of year, but we put together a front, for little Harry, whom I had had to fight with Dumbledore for custody, and, this Christmas, for our little baby as well.
Little Georgie had been born just last November, and this would be her first Christmas with us, so now, more than ever, we were trying to make Christmas a happy time, especially for Harry.
I looked around the room, finding it weird that the smell of freshly baked cookies hadn't brought Harry and Remus down in the blink of an eye, and as such, I took one look at baby Georgie, who was sleeping soundly in her bassinet in the living room, and went upstairs, finding Harry and Remus in Harry's room, clearly plotting something, if their hushed murmurs were of any indication.
"Hey, you two," I started, making them jump apart with knowing smiles, "I made cookies and hot chocolate, why has the smell not drove you two downstairs?" I asked and Harry looked up at me, grabbing a sheet of paper and handing it to me.
"Look, I drew you!" Harry said with a big bright smile, which was usually a pretty good indicator that he was hiding something, but I let it slide as I picked up the drawing.
I smiled as I looked at the picture of our family Harry had drawn, a picture where he had given me a special emphasis, putting what I was guessing was a crown on my head and a big heart around me.
"Alright, what have you two done?" I asked as Harry sped past me and – I assumed- to the kitchen so he could eat cookies and drink hot cocoa, and probably to go and see if he could get Georgie to laugh just for him. She seemed pretty fond of doing just that as well.
"Is that really how lowly you think of me and of our sweet little Prongs junior?" Remus asked with a smile, and I rolled my eyes.
"We've been dating officially going on six years, we've been married for three years, and on top of that, I've known you going on thirteen years. I'm not thinking lowly of either you or our 'sweet little Prongs junior'. I just know what I'm dealing with, I'm no idiot Mr. Lupin." I laughed before I let Remus hug me.
"Oh, believe me, I'm well-aware of the idiot you aren't Mrs. Lupin."
