Sixth year was on its mid-term, with essays, tests, and everything else that should be making me stressed out of my mind and yet, here I was, my main worry being my furry little companion, my cat, Timothy.
The little bastard had managed to get out of my dorm room, and then escape a very packed common room. I had to give it to him; he was clever, exceedingly so, and adding to all his cleverness, he was also super sneaky.
"Hey, isn't that Lupin with your cat?" Hailey, my best friend, and dorm mate, questioned as she nudged me in the direction of Lupin, who was holding my cat in his arms. Narrowing my eyes on the cat slumbering in the older boy's arms, I sighed.
"Great. Now I'll be embarrassing myself in front of Lupin. Again. I swear Timothy has it out for me." I mumbled as Hailey snickered.
"Well, I always found that bastard to be a spawn of the devil."
Rolling my eyes I made a motion to go and collect my cat, eyeing the older boy warily. He was smiling, petting my cat, and laughing with his friends.
Merlin, why did he have to be so good looking?
Hailey cleared her throat and I looked at her. "I can go get Timothy if you want."
"No you can't Hailey. Timothy hates you almost as much as you hate him. That would be catastrophic." Hailey recoiled at the mention of a possible catastrophe, and I sighed. "I've got this. Hopefully..."

Marching towards Lupin, I tried to mentally plan a script, but there was no point. I knew that as soon as I got in front of Lupin all sense would magically -excuse the bad pun- flee out of me and I wouldn't even be able to form a coherent sentence.
Clearing my throat when I was stood next to the rather large group of Hufflepuffs I watched as they all sent Lupin teasing looks while motioning towards me.
Rowena, I thought Hufflepuffs were supposed to be the shy ones.
Lupin turned towards me and I looked down, in a very much futile attempt of hiding my blush.
"Is there anything you need Ingelsby?" Apparently incapable of getting words out of my mouth I pointed to the cat, which was now fully awake and eyeing me with his judgemental look.
"Y-you look great t-today, especially with my cat in your arms and- wait! No, I meant, y-you have my cat! A-and my heart as well- Wait, no! I'd just like to get my cat back if that's alright with you, and you c-could also give me your heart because you also have mine and- why am I still speaking? Why did I mention the fact that I'm still speaking? What am I even doing? J-just give me the cat so I can run away and drown myself in the Black Lake." I muttered quickly, blushing even harder as I heard not only Hailey snicker but also Lupin's friends giggling.
Anything would be better than this embarrassment. Even Hailey and Timothy creating a great catastrophe that would forever be remembered.

"That was nice and all Ingelsby," Lupin started and I looked down again, unable to even think straight at the sound of his chuckles. I felt like I was back in my third year and couldn't even look at Professor Longbottom because I had the biggest crush on him. "But you don't need to be so scared of me. I don't bite you know." He handed me my cat and I looked at him as our hands touched when I picked Timothy up, as he bit his lip. "Have your cat. Make sure he stays on the dorm room, because I can assure you that a lot of people would be happy to take him from you without a word. He's such a sweet cat, anyone could get their hands on him."
Well, anyone who wasn't Hailey I guess.

But there was something bothering me. Why did Lupin think I was scared of him? Merlin did my awkwardness around him manage to delude him into thinking I was scared of him?
I was only awkward around him because I had the biggest crush on him! It had nothing to do with fearing him or something.
"Thanks Lupin! You're amazing, I mean that was amazing! You finding my cat- not that you aren't amazing because you are and there's nothing about you that could make me scared- I'm rambling again. I'll just shut up and leave. Bye!" I turned on my heel and prepared for a hasty retreat.
And go drown myself in my sea of embarrassment.

There was a call of my name –my first name- which had me stopping in my tracks to turn and look back, because that was Lupin's voice and he called me by my first name! He knew my first name!
He used his long legs to catch up quickly to me and I looked at him, blush rising again from the dead. "T-teddy?"
He looked at me bashfully as he rubbed the back of his neck and licked his lips. Damn, this man was sexy. "Yeah..." He rubbed the back of his neck and I watched before my own eyes as the roots of Teddy's hair got tainted with a bright pink. I widened my eyes in awe at the change. I knew that he was a Metamorphmagus, but I had never witnessed it before. "You know, it would be nice to be friends with you," I heard his friends snicker before Teddy turned to them, even his ears growing pink and said. "Quit it losers." He then turned to me. "As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted by those spawns of the devil, I would like to be friends with you Ingelsby. You know when you I can at least tolerate what I am?" He suggested and my mouth dropped open as his question caught me a little off guard. Why was it that my actions gave away that I was scared of him?
"I-I actually love your ability! It's im-impressive really! It's just that you're amazing and drop dead gorgeous and it makes me nervous! Y-you make me nervous." I admitted quietly as Lupin let out a quiet chuckle, making me blush harder. He threw me a gentle smile, before patting my cat's head- who was going to get an earful for making me embarrass myself in such a length. "Well, then I guess I'll see you around." He smiled one last time as I turned back to Hailey who had been watching everything with a smug smile on her face.

Hailey approached me and waved a hand in front of my face. "Let's go to the common room."
Hurrying to answer the riddle and going to our dorm we almost ran. Reaching our dorm Hailey silenced the area around my bed as I started to jump around, having had the decency of previously putting my cat down on his bed. Not that he deserved decency, after that running away stunt, he pulled. "Teddy Lupin wants to be my friend! Hailey, you heard that?! Oh, my Merlin!" Letting out a long fit of squeals, I heard Hailey chuckle sarcastically.
" Apparently Timothy can do good things from time to time, huh?"
Timothy, upon hearing his name coming from Hailey's mouth hissed loudly.
He still hated her even when she tried to compliment him.
