Most of the time, I found my job to be quite rewarding.
Right now, was one of those times.
I looked at the couple in front of me, two girls, fresh out of Hogwarts and I couldn't help but smile when I saw the way they looked at each other, and my smile got even brighter when I realized that that was my doing.
You see, this coffee shop was magical, of course, and I had set up more couples than I cared to admit over the course of this coffee shop's five years of existence.
I fought on the War that broke out in Hogwarts when I was in my seventh year and after the war I couldn't help but think that people needed to feel the love, needed some comfort, so I had opened what was supposed to be only a coffee shop, but one time, two costumers came in and they kept eyeing each other and shying away whenever the other looked as well, so I had proposedly mixed up their orders to give them an excuse to talk. That couple would be getting married this year, and I was the Maid of Honour. From then on, at the young age of nineteen I began my coffee and matchmaking service, and my coffee shop gained the name of "The Matchmaker".
I picked up the orders Dennis handed me, which I was supposed to give to the couple sitting on the corner, the couple of girls I had set up a few weeks back.

"Why don't you try that matchmaking stuff for yourself, Montgomery?" Dennis asked as I picked up the tray with two cups of Earl Grey and two slices of Red Velvet cake.

"Coaches don't play Creevey, I thought you knew that." I stated and Dennis groaned in annoyance. He'd heard me say this so many times I was surprised he hadn't tattooed it on his forehead.
"Yeah, well, maybe you should try it. You keep running from the very thing you keep creating." he said, and I rolled my eyes. "Shut up and get to work."
"Ahoy matey!" Dennis went back to working as I went over to the couple to serve them their teas and cake.

"So, how's everything?" I asked as I put everything on the table. "Is everything alright?"
Miley smiled brightly. "Everything's fantastic, thank you so much!"
I nodded with a smile before leaving them alone.
The shop was quiet, as it always was and that was how I enjoyed it, without stress, only peace and quiet.
I heard the bell ring and looked at the door, finding a handsome man standing by the entrance, a man I hadn't seen in years.

"Montgomery!" Neville smiled in that cute way he always did back when we were in school, and I would bump into him or the other way around.
"Hello Longbottom! It's been some time!" I said as I hugged him, and he hugged me back.
"Five years too long." he said, and I laughed before ushering him over to a table. "What can I get you so we can catch up?"
Neville grinned as he sat down and I smiled, picking up my notepad. "I'll have a hot chocolate and huh..." He looked over at the display case for the cakes and I laughed.
"Maybe a macaroon, if you still like them?" I suggested and Neville turned a light shade of pink.
"Yes, I can't believe you still remember."
I smiled at Neville before jotting everything down. "Ravenclaws are known for their notorious memory and intelligence." I looked up at him before smiling. "I'll be right back."
I walked up to the counter and placed Neville's order. "And add a cup of Green tea for me."
Dennis gave me a crooked smile as he set to work and I grabbed my wallet, paying for both orders and giving a tip to Dennis.
Dennis smiled when I slid the coins on his pocket. "Thanks boss." he said as he brew the hot chocolate and I smiled as I waved my wand at the pile of dishes in the kitchen so they could wash themselves. "I remember you and Neville always had a pretty notorious chemistry." Dennis suggested and I rolled my eyes.
"We were friends, nothing else." I said as I set about brewing my tea, hoping Dennis would get the hint, but he didn't. Stupid stubborn Gryffindor's.

"Oh, friends don't kiss like that." Dennis said and I looked at him with wide eyes. "That's right, Gryffindor won the house cup, there was a party you were there by Neville's invitation and I saw the kiss." Dennis admitted and I blushed as I put two macaroons and a slice of red Velvet cake in a plate. I knew Neville would want more macaroons.
The kiss, if I recalled correctly, had happened seven years ago and it still made me flustered. And I wasn't easily flustered. "I have no idea what you are talking about." I said and Dennis smirked.
"Of course you don't. Here, everything's ready." Dennis handed me the tray and sent me off. "And yes boss, I can hold down the fort while you chat. Tell Longbottom I said hi."
I walked to the table Neville was sat in and put everything down, before putting the empty tray on the counter and sitting in front of Neville, sipping my tea.
"It's on me. So, tell me Longbottom, what have you been up to?"
