"I love you too." I told him honestly. I really and truly did.
I smiled at him, and he did too. I leaned in and kissed him. He kissed me too, and then pulled away.
"Phil, what does this make us now?" Dan asked me.
"Well, what do you want to be?" I asked him.
He sighed. "Phillip Lester. It is frowned upon in a bunch of countries, but gay marriage has now been made legal. So, will you-" Dan was cut off with me gasping. "Dan! We aren't even dating yet!" I yelled to him.
"What are you talking about?" He asked me.
"You were going to propose." I whispered, so quietly that Dan had to lean in slightly to catch what I'd said.
"No, I wasn't! I was going to say, will you be my boyfriend!? Way to go, Phil. Ruining the moment. Bravo, Phil. Bravo." He clapped his hands, sarcastically. Then I whispered again, "Yes."
"Yes?" He asked, confused.
"Yes. I will be your boyfriend."
