Temi sighed as she let the warm water relax her tense muscles.
She closed her eyes as she sank further into the hot tub.
She remembered all she had been through to get here.
She thought about the step she was about to take and if it was actually worth it.
Of course,it was.
She was sure.
She was ready
Nothing was gonna change her mind anymore because she was happy.
There was a knock on the door of the room.
"It's Sylvia!" the voice said from the other end.
"Come in" Temi said and got out of the tub
She wrapped a towel around her body and walked out of the bathroom and into the room.
"The planner is here" Sylvia said to Temi.
"Oh,alright.. Is she in the lobby?" Temi asked.
Sylvia nodded.
"I'll be down in a few minutes"
Sylvia nodded with a slight smile.
"Thank you" Temi said.
Sylvia engulfed her in a hug.
As Sylvia left the room,Temi wore a pair of joggers and tshirt.
Sylvia was basically the only good friend Temi made in Canada.
Yeah,Temi met a lot of people at college,but none were like Sylvia.
From the first day of college till they graduated,Sylvia looked out for her.
Temi was talked about because of her nationality and skin colour,but Sylvia didn't let them get away with it.
Sylvia found her unique and for some reason,she liked the colour of her eyes.
Temi wore her shoes and left the hotel room.
As she got to the lobby,Sylvia was standing there with the familiar planner Temi had been seeing everyday for the past three months.
"Hey Miss Adeyemi" the lady said
"Her name is Temi" Sylvia said and Temi chuckled.
"Hey Jane," Temi said as they walked to a couch. They sat down and Jane brought out her clipboard. "How is it going so far?"
"From here,I'll be heading to the venue with my team. I've been able to talk with one caterer,and we've agreed on the spot for the meal she is preparing. The others will be agreed on tomorrow as they arrive. Everything is ready,but of course,I need to add some finishing touches"
Temi nodded in satisfaction as Jane spoke
"What about my friends? do you remember where they are gonna sit?" Temi asked Jane.
Jane nodded
"My family?"
Jane nodded again.
"Oh,that's nice" Temi said.
"Any other thing,ma'am?"
"You seem to be impressing me,so I guess you're free to go"
Jane wore a huge grin and got up.
As the lady left,Temi saw that it was already 2pm,and she had something very important to do.
"I gotta go,Sylvia" Temi said
