Florence woke up early to make breakfast for her and Cora.

She knew the girl would probably be hungry, so she made a bunch of different breakfast items.

As she finishes up pouring coffee into two mugs, she hears footsteps coming from the hallway.

"Good morning" she says handing her niece a cup of coffee

Cora blinks at the happiness in her aunt's voice.

"Why are you so happy?" The teen asks

"Because you're here? I thought you were dead for 6 years."

Cora scoffs. "I thought you were dead"

"Well, it seems we both were wrong. Where were you this whole time?"

"South America."

Florence hums. "After breakfast, we are going to Derek's. Eat up. Then go shower. You smell like a dog"

"Ha ha, so funny" Cora says sarcastically.

Cora ate half of the food prepared before leaving the room to go shower.

Florence's phone rings.

"Hello?" She answers

"Hey, how's Cora doing?" Chris asks.

"Fine. She ate, and is showering right now before I bring her to Derek's. It's going to be an adjustment, I mean I thought she was dead and apparently she thought I was dead."

"It will take time. Once you, Derek and her catch up, it will be fine. How are you doing with this?"

"It's weird. I have so many questions, but I can't focus on that right now. I have to go to work. Oh god I don't even want to deal with high schoolers right now"

Chris laughs. "You applied for that job."

"Don't remind me." She groans

"Listen, I have to go, but I'll call you later to talk"

"Bye Chris"

The phone call ends and Florence throws her head onto the counter and groans.

"You know, if you do that hard enough, you could hurt yourself" she hears Cora say from the doorway
