Chris was in the midst of punching a freezing and out of it Isaac.
"Turn!" He exclaimed after he punched him. Florence moved closer, pushing both Allison and Chris out of the way.
"You guys are not going to like this." She says to them. She gives Isaac an apologetic look. "Sorry about this"
She grabs his arm and breaks it clean down the center of his forearm. The sound of the bone breaking, causing goosebumps to form on Chris and Allison's skin.
Isaac turns over to his side and breathes heavily for a moment before looking at the three with yellow eyes. His eyes return to normal as he pushes himself back against Allison's bed, with a scared look on his face and tears in his eyes.
Florence, Chris and Allison all sit before him worried.
"Did you see them?" He whispered in a broken voice
Florence feels her heart break at his terrified voice.
"Who?" Allison whispers back
"There were five of them" Isaac responds shakily. "They wore black. I-i couldn't see their faces. They were covered" he sobs out quietly
"What do you mean? Like masks?" Allison asks
"One of them" Isaac starts. "I could see his eyes. They were greenish yellow, like uh..." he trails off trying to think of the word. "Like a firefly"
Chris straightens up was Florence gives him a look. He gets up and moves towards the window, checking it. "Security system wasn't triggered" he states as he opens the curtains slightly.
"Then how did they get in?" Allison asks
Florence moves to sit next to Isaac, holding him close to comfort him
"They didn't" Isaac said
"It was like they came out of the shadows, wasn't it?" Florence asked him. He nodded meekly, wrapping his arms around her for warmth. Florence runs her hand through his hair to soothe him as he calms down.
Chris looks up at that question. Allison, noting her father's sudden tenseness and the look he gave Florence earlier. "Do you know what that means?" She asks him
He stares off for a moment. "Dad?" Allison says to get his attention
Florence notices the far off look in his eyes as he responds that he wasn't sure.
