"Is it bad that I don't miss my super hearing? I mean, I hated accidentally tuning into the guy two floors down crying while listening to Taylor Swift. Or the couple three doors down having sex every night while fighting"

Chris laughs at Florence.

"I really didn't need to know that much about my neighbors, so... thank you for that. Also, you're hearing is going to come back, so don't get too used to it"

Florence pouts, making Chris lean down to kiss her.

She smiles into the kiss before pulling away. "Your daughter is in the next room."

He groans before leaning his head on her forehead.

"I should go talk with her" he says before walking towards her room, Florence following.

"I heard about the recital tonight. The thing to honor the losses at school"

"Not losses dad, murders" Allison retorts

"Sorry. Guess i don't need to soften the blow for you. But your friends will be there, right?"

"I guess"

"Want me and Florence to take you?"

"I don't think I'm up for it" she says back

"Okay, I get it"

"Take as many days as you need. School can wait"

He closes the door behind him as he leaves, staring at Florence.

"Did she seem okay?" He asks

Florence smiles. "Oh Chris. She's a 17 year old girl. She will never seem okay to you."

He sighs. "Don't you have to go to work or something?"

"Are you trying to get rid of me? Well, then I guess I'll just start sleeping in the guest room again" she teases, walking away

"Wait no-" he starts walking after her, making her laugh.

Florence had actually taken off of work for the week, apparently being bit by an alpha and losing your supernatural abilities makes a person exhausted.

She passes Chris's office, hearing hushed whispers.

Opening the door, she sees Allison and Isaac.

"Well, well. I never thought I would see the two of you working together so nicely." She says smiling at them
