Chapter 15:Working Again

"C-Candace what do you mean"?

I got up from my chair and went over to her.

She just smiled. "What's the point of hiring a new assistant when you have me".

That is true. I would have to train a new assistant I never thought about that.

"Mr.Hale now if it's alright with you. I would like a desk right here in the corner". She points beside one of my windows.

"Yes that came be arranged Candace".

"Oh no we are formal at work please call me Ms.Taylor".

Ms.Taylor. That was her last name before we got married. I don't like it.

I nodded. "I will call you Mrs.Hale".

She rolled her eyes and smiled a little. But then quickly stopped.

"I can get guys to move your stuff from your office in here".

She nodded and went over to my couch. Candace sat on the couch and crossed her legs. Man her beautiful chocolate legs in that short skirt and her belly was getting bigger. She looks amazing.

"Justin are you going to catch me up on things or just stare at me".

I could feel my face getting red. Candace started laughing.

"You always made it clear that you were embarrassed".

I looked away.

"So what about the shop"?

"I am the owner I don't have to be there. You know that".

I nodded my head.

We went through everything she's missed and it was actually the first time we have talked like this, this long without yelling or crying.

"So that is mostly everything". I told her.

She nodded and wrote things down on her work pad.

"Well if I'm right and mostly all the time I am. You have a meeting in about five minutes. In the blue room with your brothers company".

I smacked myself mentally.

"Oh yeah you're right".

I got up and buttoned my jacket and walked to the door.

I looked back at Candace who was still writing something down.

"Mrs.Hale I would like it if you came too". I walked over to her on the couch and put my hand out.

She grabbed it and I helped her up.

"Thank you".

"You look beautiful today".

She put her head down and smiled a little. "Thanks". She sorta whispered.

She let go of my hand and walked in front of me.

We made it to the meeting and my brother was sitting in my chair smiling.

"Candace what are you doing here"? He looked confused

"I work here".

"Again"?

She nodded and sat in a chair.

"Wow this baby brother is something else". He started laughing.

I glared at him. "Can we start this meeting"?

"In a minute I have my assistant coming".

"Since when did you have an assistant"?

"Since I made him". I turned and saw his wife also Candace's aunt Marissa.

"Auntie what are you doing here"?

She smiled and went over to Candace and kissed her cheek.

"I could say the same thing about you".

She rubbed her belly. "You are getting big. Hopefully another girl". She said and sat next to Candace.

She smiled and nodded. "Me too".

"Can we do this family affair after the meeting"? Shawn said

"Excuse me"? My aunt glared at him.

He put his hands up in surrender.

"Sorry baby but this is important we can discuss Candace's baby gender after...I love you". He said quickly making Candace and Marissa laugh.

"Okay go ahead". She said

"Thank you".

The meeting wasn't very long. Actually it was quick and easy.

My phone rang and I saw it was Lilly (I changed the girl he slept withs name).

I groaned.

"Excuse me". I said to them who were just talking about Candace being pregnant.

I walked out of the room and answered my phone.

"Yes Lilly"?

"Justin I don't understand why i can't live with you during my pregnancy. I mean Candace gets to live there too".

"She is my wife and the mother of my two kids. I will not lose them because of this thing that happened between us to".

"But I'll be the mother of your child too". She whined.

I rolled my eyes and signed.

"You should be fine until the birth of the child and I'll be there for the kid but I don't have to be there for you. You aren't my wife and will never be".

"But Justin it-".

"Look I got to go". I cut her off and hung up.
