after Ravi's death

Arjun had a duty as a son to fulfill. To look after his foster father's empire and his daughter, Parul. He as well knew that it was also his promise that he did to Ravi Oberoi; he should do what his foster father has wished. Arjun had a feeling of gratitude towards his father for adopting him in his life and family. And now it is Arjun's time to pay the gratitude.

All seemed vaguely strange to him. Hostile to be precise. He was never content to be where he was. In London. After his foster father's death he asked Parul for at least a year for him to completely settle until they marry. She half heartedly agrees. Also the fact bothers her that Arjun being hers' wasn't really hers. He would do the least to show his love to her. A monotonous relationship that really made her out of place.

She would often wanted to take him out for dates and dinners but he would mostly refuse her with work excuses.

One fine day, Arjun was early from his work and retired to see Parul, when suddenly he noticed someone driving her car. He felt odd. She already had a driver for her car.

Arjun followed the car, thinking someone must have stole the car.

When he looked closely and was shocked. Parul was sitting next to him as she smiled lovingly. Arjun drove close by her car as he looked horridly at her and the man who was driving her car.

Arjun couldn't believe it

Arjun couldn't believe it. Parul was with another man. Arjun was furious. Parul's eyes drifts on Arjun and was shocked to see him there. Arjun flared his nose and drove off.

Arjun couldn't think coherently. What is he going to do? His existence was in veins. Parul has cheated on him. He suddenly figured he needed to go back to his country. He just didn't want to give Parul any chance to explain herself so he immediately leaves for his country.

After a year

Arjun is in India but Parul's constant plea to meet him and apologies drove him crazy. He looked at his secretary who was driving his car.

"Trisha can we postpose this?" He groans.

Trisha smiled as she looked at him through the rear mirror.

"Sir, maam ko ek mauka to dijiye! I am sure she has changed!" Trisha assured.

Arjun gave a constricted smile as he looked about the window. His smile fell as a sight caught his attention. He gasps.

Trisha looked around.

"Sir?"

"Trisha, stop the car!" Arjun orders his secretary. She immediately halts just as Arjun opens the car door. He runs off. Trisha was confused and worried.

Arjun looked out and saw an old woman who has fallen off the street with her fruit basket lay next to her. He huddles to her and helps her.

"Dhanyawaad beta!" The old woman felt utterly humbled as Arjun helps her to stand; gathering her fruits and vegetables. People didn't bother to help her. But they were sure to watch as he helped her up.

"Maam, apko kahi chor du?" Arjun asks politely.

The old woman looked at the car that he offers. She shakes her head.

"Mera ghar to pass me hai! or itni bari gaadi mere gali ke andar nehi ja sakegi!" She smiled.

Arjun looked at the heavy bag of fruits and vegetable.

"To ek kaam karta hu, main yeh bag uthake apke saath chalta hoon..please mana mat kijiye!" He smiled adorably at her. She chuckles and nods.

As they walk silently she asks his name.

He answers.

"Parth beta, sab tumhari tarah hote to kitna acha hota...is zamane ko tum jaise bacho ki zyada zaroorat hai!"

Arjun smiles.

----

Arjun drops her to her neighborhood when suddenly a sight caught his eyes. A young woman.

He tilts his head side to see her properly. She was sitting on a bench with a small girl. He walked towards them when she looked around and smiled at the girl.

Arjun froze. His eyes widens as he felt himself restricted by some invisible force to approach to this young woman. Has he seen her before? He didn't know. But this face. This face is so chillingly distinctive. He felt a drop of sweat falling off from the side of head as he backs away. His trembling heart sank as he saw a man next came close to her.

He turns around trying hard to remember this face.

He closes his eyes.

Suddenly a name that inevitably formed out of his lips as his mind clicked.

Sakshi

-------------------------

End of flashback

Sakshi looked at Arjun with teary eyes.

Archana didn't know that even her eyes could shed involuntary tears. She sniffs. Karan looked at Arjun with a sense of empathy as he absorbs everything.

Preeti suddenly wrapped her arms around Arjun  and hugs him as she cried solemnly.

Archana rolls her eyes.

Arjun laughs.

"Mat ro Preeti!" Arjun calms her down, patting her shoulders.

Preeti sniffs as she looked at him.

"Hum sab ko laga, ke tum....koi or ho! Par tum...tumne sirf Sakshi ke liye! Itna kuch saha! or khoya! I can't believe this actually happened to you!" She mumbles with a heavy heart.

Sakshi looked away as she couldn't comprehend what she heard. Arjun had let go of his life for her sake. And here she had no clue about it. She walks out of the room as sadness engulfs her mind. Arjun looked at her and followed.

Sakshi could never have imagined that Arjun was all there for her. She thought he had left her.

Her friends watch as Arjun hugs Sakshi from behind. Sakshi turns our and cried in his chest as he patted her soothingly. Every shattered pieces have mended back as the they finally found each other. Her friends, Preeti and Archana are happy that finally they are back together and they pray to god that Arjun and Sakshi can live happily for the rest of their lives.
