Happy Birthday, Marshall!

Guys!!! It's Friday, October 13! You know what that means?

IT'S MARSHMALLOW'S BIRTHDAY!!! 🥳

I just wanted to take a moment to gush about my baby and legitimately thank you guys for the support you've given me.

Many of you probably don't know this, but Pretty Boy was my first multichapter, outlined, fleshed out story I ever published. Even though I've written many others, it was the first fanfic that made me really become attached to the characters I was creating. Interactions, personal feelings, hardships, - they all meant the absolute world to me. 

Especially when it came to Marshall.

I've said it in the comments before that I'm prone to sprinkling in a little bit of me into the characters I create. But there was just something about Marshall that really made me resonate with him. He became an outlet of sorts while also taking on the face of someone I still strive to be. He's confident, knows what he wants, will do whatever it takes to achieve his goals, isn't afraid to back down from a fight, and so many other amazing things. Marsh is snarky, funny, passionate, charismatic, sweet, blunt, caring - just everything. He knows his worth and isn't afraid to cut toxicity out of his life if it means he can be the happiest he can be.

And I love that so much.

I love him so much.

I know a lot of us are always joking around in the comments about how much we love and care about Marsh. 

But as the person who created him - who shaped his story and the way he was able to develop as a person - he really is my baby.

I would fight for that man 😂

Seriously, though, it's just mindboggling to me that he became such a substantial character; not only to me but to you guys as well. It really warms my heart when you guys leave comments about how Pretty Boy has impacted you, how the characters resonated with you too, how the interactions made you feel.

Currently, the main book has over 160k views and over 5k votes. And it's only been up on Wattpad since January 1, 2022.

That. Is. Insane.

It also makes me really happy that a bunch of people who've (probably) never met each other have all found a story and characters to bond over. I know that we're all here because we all like the Twilight franchise and think Paul is just...yum 😏😂 but it's the fact that you guys have stayed specifically for my interpretation of things. For my original plot and characters.

Really, you guys make me feel like a superstar.

I was struggling for a little bit about whether or not I wanted to keep writing when the story first came out. And then all of this happened.

I'm so grateful for each and every single one of you.

From me to you - not only as an author but as a person - thank you for believing in me.

As a treat for being so amazing, I'm letting you guys know about something special in the works. Because it's spooky season and Halloween is coming up, if everything goes according to plan, there will be one more chapter followed by...

🎃The Pretty Boy Halloween Extravaganza!🎃

I have it in my character notes that, aside from Christmas, Halloween is one of Marshall's favorite holidays. I was never able to get around to making a Halloween chapter, but I wanted to change that.

I'm super excited about it! There's going to be character art as well that's mostly completed at the time I'm writing this. I think you guys are really going to love it!
