LEWIS

"You need to tell her", Mya says as she opens the car door and throws herself on the passenger's seat.

"Well, hello to you too", I mutter at her.

She doesn't seem in the mood though. "Seriously, Lewis, you need to tell her. You can't keep doing this to her."

I take a deep breath, my fingers curling around the wheel. "Don't you think I know?!", I let out a little too loud. "Don't you think I know?! I wanted to tell her every day for the last few months. But the moment she finds out the truth, I don't think she'll want to stay."

"I think you're wrong", she whispers, shaking her head. "If you love her, I think she deserves a chance to make her own decision. Knowing the whole truth."

My breath starts shaking, knowing she's right. She is. I know I made a mistake. I should have told her sooner. But every time, I'm afraid she'll run away.

And I'm not ready to see Aria go.

I don't think I'll ever be.

"She deserves to know", Mya whispers one more time.

I don't say another word on our ride home.
