WHEN SOREN opened his eyes, he found himself face down on the ground.

His body ached so much he could practically lie down on the bed and do nothing for five days, but his head was unexpectedly light.

He struggled to get up, only to find out he was like a wet rag from head to toe.

"What the hell?" he mumbled as he struggled to get up.

He was soaked down to his underwear and when he tried to look at his surrounding, he noticed the big fucking Wisteria tree in the middle of the room.

He stared at it. A little dumbfounded.

"What the fuck?"

He was second-guessing whether he was really inside his own room, or if he was transported into some magical room somewhere inside the castle that he knew nothing about, but the decorations proved it was truly his.

The floor, despite the grasses, vines, and wildflowers growing on it, however impossible that might even sound, was the same floor he had. The paintings, the windows, the furniture—they were all his. But somehow, they were different.

Old, perhaps, was the right way to describe it.

But everything inside the room was well kept and surprisingly clean.

First things first, he needed to change into some dry clothes.

He walked slowly towards his wardrobe, choosing some simple clothes. When he stripped off his wet garments, his hand grazed the long horizontal wound in his lower abdomen. Flashes of memories suddenly came back to him, flooding his brain with too much information that his head started to hurt.

He remembered he was having a miscarriage and Master Olar was trying to take out the fetus inside him. He also remembered the excruciating pain he endured and doing the craziest thing in all the years of his career as a healer. He was no master of controlling his ena, and the possibility of a young fetus surviving outside the womb was close to impossible.

A sudden heart-wrenching anxiety overtook him in an instant and he felt his heart drop to his stomach.

What if their efforts failed and his twins were dead? He looked down again and noticed the wound was already healed and that means some time had passed since then.
