"God, you're actually such a terrible friend," Lanie shouted at me. "I didn't even do
anything to you," i screamed back.

Lanie and I had been arguing for the past hour.

"I want to do this one thing and you can't even be a decent friend to do it with me. This is so important to me and you don't even care," she retorted. "It can get us in both serious danger, i'm doing this for me and you," i snapped. "You know what i don't care. I'm doing it with or without you," she said getting her stuff and storming out the cabin. "Lanie do-"

slam!

i sigh. Lanie can be so difficult sometimes. I went to my bed and try to sleep it off, but the thought of losing lanie came over me and i started bawling my eyes out. I had no other real friends that i know of. They all are bullies. Being the daughter of Aphrodite, you'd think i'd have friends. They only care about my mom. So many thoughts came heavy on me and it eventually made me wear out and fell asleep.

———

I woke up in the middle of the evening. Maybe i was dreaming about the argument. And maybe it was just a big nightmare that i had.

I feel so my tension in my body.

"Good morning, sleeping beauty," i hear someone say. I shrieked. "Sorry, uhm so.. you and Lanie got heated last night, we heard you from the cabin over," annabeth told me. Annabeth was nice to me. She was my first friend here but we drifted. We do casual walking hi's here and there.

"Oh... so it wasn't a nightmare," i mumbled looking down. "Hey, it's alright. She wasn't the best," she tried to comfort me. "But she's always been there for me," i said. "doesn't mean she's good to you," she respond. "you're not trying to do any funny jokes on me, are you," i asked cautiously.

She shook her head and smiled, "never."

Annabeth's POV:

I leave the cabin that y/n was in. Poor girl lost her best friend and she feels at fault. I wish i told her how bad Lanie was really. She is nowhere near good. I'm surprised she lasted this long.

———

Your POV:

I've been moping around my bed for the past hours. I was feeling better, i think?

The thoughts came back like a flood. God, I hate my life. The tears came in without even asking. I got my throw blanket and went out my cabin. It was fairly dark.

I made my way to the bonfire area and plopped myself down against a tree. I just let the tears flow. I was gonna let everything do its thing. Maybe it will end quicker. I wish my mom was here. She'll know what to say.

———

Percy's POV:

I was going to go sit at the logs. I come here sometimes not too much but when i got there it seemed like its been occupied. I see a girl wrapped around a blanket, sitting against the tree. I noticed the visible y/h/c and immediately went to think of y/n, daughter of aphrodite.

"Hello," i called out. She looked up, startled. "o-oh i'm sorry," she was about to get up, but i stopped her. "no its okay," i told her noticing the tear stains on her face. "are you okay, i mean obviously you weren't, but- you know what never mind," i sighed. She gave a short chuckle. "uh.. you can sit with me," she sniffled, patting the seat beside her. I smiled and sat next to her. "You wanna talk about it? My mom always says it's good to let things out," i asked genuinely. "Not right now. I don't want to cry about it. I'm kinda exhausted from it," she gave a half smile. "of course, of course. So i'm percy if you don't know. Percy Jackson," i gave my hand to shake. "Everyone knows you, percy. But i'm y/n y/l/n," she shook my hand. "So what are you doing out here so late, you have the blanket to keep you warm so were you planning to stay here all night," i asked. "No, i just like to come here to get some air," she said. "oh yeah, i do that too. I actually come here to talk to my mom, but i think this is a good change," i laughed.

———

We have been talking for hours on end. We don't even know the time and sometimes i forget where i am when im talking to her. I just met her, but talking to her was so easy and comfortable. I hope she thinks the same, i think she does cause she didnt seem out of place. When she first saw me, she looked scared, but by the end she was all happy.

"i think i should get going now,y/n, it was nice talking to you. I'll see you tomorrow," i asked with hope. "Yeah, i hope to talk again," she smiled, getting up.

Before we parted ways i turn back around. "Also, whatever you're dealing with i know it will be temporary, so don't overthink on it cause the universe always remove bad things but in return they give you good things," i told her.

"That means a lot, thank you, Percy," she smiled and hugged me.
