Walker's POV:

My knee bounce impatiently while I watch the seconds on the clock until this class is over.

The teacher keeps going on and on about his unnecessary lesson that I could not bring myself to listen to. Not like my career needed information on how King Louis XIV nearly bankrupted the whole country.

Every time my eyes go to the clock, I'm disappointed to find only three second have gone by since I last looked. I groan quietly.

Time is so slow.

My friend shakes his head beside me. "You're pathetic," he laughed quietly. I elbow his side to get him to shut up. "So funny," i huffed.

The bell finally rings, and I immediately stand to leave the class, ignoring my friend calling after me about something.

Not what my attention was on right now.

———

I rush through the halls and down the stairs, not caring if i accidentally bumped into someone or if there was a huge crowd in the middle of the hallway. No one told them to stop in the middle of a hallway where people needed to go through, anyways.

I was too focused on making sure I get to my destination on time so l didn't miss her.

———

When I find Y/N walking down the halls, I slow my steps and give myself a second to catch my breath so she doesn't suspect anything.

"Hey," I greet with a warm smile.

She smiles once she realizes it's me. "Walker! How are we always running into each other when we don't have any classes together," she laughed.

I shrug  nonchalantly. "Our classes just happened to be so close together," I lie.

We make small talk about our day and stuff as I offered to walk her to her next class.

When we were about to go up the stairs, I hear someone call me from behind us.

"Walker!"

We both turned to look behind us and see my friend from my previous class. He caught up to me.

"You left your bag in history class, stupid," my friend laughed while tossing it to me. I caught it.

"Thanks..." I mumble halfheartedly, not really happy about his interruption.

"History?..." Y/N questions and her eyebrows draw together. "Isn't that on the other side of the school," she asked me.

"uh..." I started.

"This is the part where i leave," my friend snickers and ran off.

He left and i looked down at y/n where she was already looking at me.

"I can explain..." i held up my hands in defense as i chuckle lightly.

She laughed.
