"Byul-"

Byul screamed and crawled away from Beomgyu.

Beomgyu sighed and picked her up. "You're acting out."

"Beomgyu!!"

Beomgyu rolled his eyes and turned around. "Yes?"

"Shut her up."

"I'm trying to-"

His dad walked closer to him. "Well try harder!"

Beomgyu jumped and slowly nodded.

"Good, now me and your mom are hungry, you should make us food."

"But-"

"No buts!"

"I have an interview-"

His dad stared at him and Beomgyu knew he didn't care.

"Okay.."

...

"Byul, please stop crying.." Beomgyu frowned.

Byul continued to cry and Beomgyu went to the fridge, thinking she was hungry.

"Is the food done?" His mom walked into the kitchen.

"I haven't started it.." Beomgyu looked at her as he grabbed the fruit from the fridge. "Byul has been crying-"

"It's been 17 minutes, the food should be done!" His mom shouted.

Beomgyu jumped. "I'll..f-feed her and start it."

"It should've been done, Beomgyu!"

His dad walked into the kitchen with a belt in his hand and Beomgyu stared at him.

"The food hasn't even been started?"

"No, he's being lazy!"

Beomgyu shook his head. "No..! I was trying to calm Byul down, i promise you, i'll make a quick meal and it'll be done in 5 minutes, i promise..!"

"You're so lazy, Beomgyu." His dad said.

"No-"

"No?" His dad walked over to him.

"I..not in front of Byul.." Beomgyu sniffled.

"She needs to see how much of a disappointment her brother is!"

"Dad-"

His dad slapped him. "Why are you still not starting the food?!"

Byul began to cry harder, staring at Beomgyu.

"Shut up!!" Beomgyus dad yelled at her.

"Dad, don't yell at her, yell at me, hit me, just leave her alone, she didn't do anything wrong.." Beomgyu said.

His dad looked at him and Beomgyu knew he made a mistake.

...

"It's okay, Byul.." Beomgyu whispered, patting her head. "Stop crying.."

Byul continued to cry and Beomgyu wiped the blood off of his face.

"Oppas okay, don't worry about me.." Beomgyu whispered.

"I'm okay.."

...

"You're so pretty, Byul.." Beomgyu smiled.

He had dressed her in a dress.

"Let's go." He picked her up then grabbed her diaper bag.

"I'll leave you at your other oppas house, he'll take care of you for a little.." Beomgyu whispered.

...

"Are you okay?" Yeonjun kissed Beomgyu.

"I will be.." Beomgyu smiled. "Byul was excited to see you."

"For real?" Yeonjun asked.

"No."

Yeonjun laughed. "Come on, i'll drive you."

"Okay.."

...

"Do you have a criminal record?"

"No." Beomgyu shook his head.

"High school diploma?"

"Yes!" Beomgyu smiled.

"Have you had any experience?"

"No."

The employer slowly nodded.

"Well..we'll give you a call back."

"Does that mean i didn't get it?"

The employer nodded.

Beomgyu frowned and stood up. "Well thank you for seeing me.."

"Thank you for coming."

...

"How'd it go?" Yeonjun asked.

Beomgyu shook his head.

"Oh.." Yeonjun frowned. "It's okay, Beomgyu, it was only the first try.."

Beomgyu shrugged.

"Don't be upset baby, you still have another interview."

Beomgyu ignored him and Yeonjun sighed.

...

"How old are you?"

"I'm..18." Beomgyu said. "Well, 18 in march."

"Mhm.." The employer nodded. "Criminal record?"

"No."

"Okay, can you carry over 50 pounds?"

"I've..never tried."

"Can you carry water inside of the house?"

Beomgyu nodded.

"Perfectly?"

Beomgyu nodded again.

"Alright.."

Beomgyu bit his lip, nervous for what was to come next.

"We'll call you back."

Beomgyu frowned but slowly nodded. "Okay, thank you for seeing me.."

"No problem."

...

"So?"

"They'll call me back." Beomgyu sighed.

"It's okay." Yeonjun said, patting his back.

Beomgyu sighed. "Let's just go.."

"Right.."
